  • Very quiet on here. People are very quick to give him shit as soon as they here any fucking rumour, but as soon as he shows them it's bollocks, plays with a clear injury, plays well, scores and is one

  • im certainly not worried that we wont be able to compete   aye, the top end is a rich league but we can aim to top the bottom eight and see where that takes us   for each newcastle, theres a burto

  • So we are desperate to get him back and desperate for him to leave ?   Why a player would not play and miss out on appearance and bonus money, especially linked to promotion is a strange. Story soun

Spearing has done well for us this season, but I can't see too many championship clubs coming in and offering him a big deal.

No chance of a prem club, so be better of staying on reduced terms.

Agree with this - only potential problem is that he burns his bridges in negotiations and settles for said reduced terms elsewhere.

Could happen I suppose, but in that case we'd be well shut of him.

What about Alnwick?

I wouldn't be surprised if Davies ends up getting a pay as you play deal. Can't see any other club offering him more than that with his pathetic injury record.

IF he's fit, he's a good player and would be of use but any contract he got would be MASSIVELY reduced and require him to prove his fitness.

What about Alnwick?

Edited. The website I used didnt have his details down

Alnwick signed a 2 year deal

7 players contracted

3 keeper

Great for rotation

Great for rotation

Surely one could play as a target man when we play all the hoofballs

He's played 35 games this season - we've won 24, drawn 6, lost 5 and scored nearly 2 goals per game.

Without him we've won 0, drawn 5, lost 5 and scored a grand total of 2 goals.

if you can list the games, Gonzo can add this to his mod clipboard for future reference

IIRC there's 11 senior players under contract next season.

So those will be the already mentioned

Alnwick
Amos
Pratley
Derik
Vela
Howard
Beevers

Wilkinson

Along with

Proctor

C Taylor

Who are only out on loan.

no idea who the 11th is

I can see spearing sign for a championship club on a freebie and get a decent wage

More than we can afford

there will be a queue for spearing.

it only needs a forest or somebody to chuck a wage at him.

After last season I'm meh about most of them in the championship.

Target man will have to be on Harvester car park with the quality of Howard's and Amos' kicking.

I agree

Possibly, though I think he has a family and maybe they're settled and don't necessarily want upheaval.

Which is what he alluded to a bit back in the ben, and if blackburn and wigan drop his chances of a short commute to work get slimmer

Blackburn and Wigan will be queuing for our players, proven at this level.

Perhaps we can trade with them?

Sort of make a decent Championship side out of the three teams, (when/if we get up)
