Fair play to Ed Sheeran - I love it while people retune their guitars in the middle of a song when they've gone out of tune.

Talented lad, no question.

But it's a yawnfest

I can't make my mind up how I feel about him. I quite like the fact he's done it the grass roots way - I just don't really like any of his songs. He's got a pleasing voice mind (apart from all the rapping shit).

The sampling makes it more of a spectacle - but put him next to someone like Beardyman and he'd look like a mug.

Just as an aside the the JC at Glastonbury debate. This is from his Facebook feed on the same day...

'Today is Armed Forces Day, a time where we can reflect on the courage, professionalism and sacrifices of those who serve our country.

We thank our armed forces for the work they do in defending our country and the sacrifice that involves, including spending many months away from their families and loved ones.

The contribution our armed forces make is not only military. They save the lives of those in desperate situations. It was military personnel that built treatment centers and trained health workers in Sierra Leone after the Ebola outbreak.

It was military personnel, like the valiant crew of HMS Enterprise, who rescued 9,000 refugees and migrants in operations in the Mediterranean.

On days like today and when I see the sacrifice our armed forces make, I think of my friend George Durack and his experiences in the Second World War.

I think of his courage and determination to continue despite seeing friends die and knowing family at home were in constant danger.

That same courage and bravery is displayed by our armed personnel today. Despite this, they are not given the support they deserve after their service. All too often they find it difficult to secure housing, are not helped to find employment and do not have access to the mental health support that they truly deserve.

Today and every day, we have a responsibility to stand up for our Forces Community and make sure that they have the real support they need, and thank them for the sacrifices they make for our country.'

The cunt.

I don't know who writes his speeches - but I imagine he's at least had some input as he mentions a friend of his by name.

The predictable response has kind of made my point for me really - it's not what about what people say any more - it's about who said it.

True dat

I thought it looked like he'd had input me self but thought i'd at least try to offer some objective reason.

I'm sure they know better, really ;)

his facebook updater talks about the lack of support and corbyn wont even let them use all the weapons we have

Once someone fires off nuclear weapons the world is over anyway. So I'm really not sure why people get so worked up by this.

It's tub thumping stuff to say you will fire nuclear weapons and frankly tub thumpers arent the way forward. To be honest the type of combat we've been engaged in recently is so far away from the sort a nuclear weapon would sort out it is unreal.

Knowing a few in the armed forces, rather than a leader banging on about nuclear weapons, what they want is to he properly resourced, have more leave and to be looked after better in the event of injury and retirement. I think they'd gladly sacrifice nukes for those things.
