DaveTheRave Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 Ffs, how many events will that cunt hijack Odious wanker I'd be pissed off if I'd paid all that money to see musicians and that wanker showed up Lots going on at Glastonbury. If they don't want to listen to him there's plenty other things to do. Quote
Matt Lofthouse Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 Looking forward to foos, they never disappoint live. After a slow start I got into Radiohead last night, good set in the end. Quote
Escobarp Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 Majority will love it though. End of the day he's wasting his time preaching to the converted. But can understand why he's going. Why? To celebrate losing an election. Hurrah let's all be joyous. Quote
jturner Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 Radiohead fucking smashed that last night. Probably one of the best sets ive witnessed on TV. I only watched bits of it during the adverts and thought for a headline act at a major festival it was shite., every song was a dirge that made Coldplay appear happy go lucky and the fans didnt seem to be enjoying it either. kent_white Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 Cast your eye on the National 8.45 Pyramid tonight (if you've not heard em before). Just having a listen on Spotify. Really good - thanks for the tip. Keep 'em coming if you've any more! :-) Quote
Spider Posted June 24, 2017 Author Posted June 24, 2017 Foos will nail it Best band at the festival. Corbyn has just said loads of words and none of them meant a fucking thing. Quote

Smiley Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 Watched Royal Blood last night. Awesome. What a great set of tunes those two pump out. I can really see them smashing the States as well. Caught a bit of Ride's set on the blue/red button. Not listened to their new album yet, its on my playlist this week. Saw a few of Elbow's set, no fan of them, but got to admit they are a good festival band. Always get the crowd pumped up. I think I know more of their songs than I like to admit. Saw some lefty doing poetry on some stage, all anti-government crap. Why? People should be there enjoying themselves, not turning it into a political charade. Also caught a bit of Blossoms. Good tunes, but a fuckin' ugly looking band!!! haha. Radiohead..... never got them, ever. Went to bed. Foos tonight. And might just watch Liam swear his way through his set. Will try and catch Barry Gibb tomorrow. And probably Ed Sheeran. Quote
mickbrown Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 I was thinking, are there any Tory supporting bands? Quote
Carlos Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 Folk who can afford £250 a ticket plus all the other costs, yet are Corbynistas. Fuck off. Quote

kent_white Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 I was thinking, are there any Tory supporting bands? Could have had Phil Collins or Eric Clapton. A strong and stable line up being introduced by Theresa May for a bit of balance https://www.theguardian.com/music/2007/oct/14/popandrock2 Quote
Escobarp Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 I'd be pretty pissed off if I'd paid a fortune for a ticket to escape the reality of day to day life and enjoy myself and that sweaty terrorist bastard rocked up talking broken biscuits Quote

Actually Clapton was, Phil Collins has always been shit. Quote
kent_white Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 Folk who can afford £250 a ticket plus all the other costs, yet are Corbynistas. Fuck off. Fucking hell Carlos - is anybody who can afford £250 a champagne socialist in your eyes now then? Quote
kent_white Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 RTJ - not really working is it? That last album was decent though. Agree Royal Blood are the best thing I've seen so far... Quote
kent_white Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 There is a man rapping on the John Peel stage wearing what can only be described as a shirt bearing composite images of Eric Cantona. I immediately despise him. Quote
Guest Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 Love how much it has irritates people that Corbyn can draw a huge crowd at Glastonbury and get an amazing reception. I really couldn't care less, but it seems people get annoyed by that fact. End of the day 99% of these bands are leftist anyway. If you are a dyed in the wool Tory you probably wouldn't be that interested in Glastonbury anyway. Quote
Escobarp Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 Corbyns has drawn a huge crowd? What a load of bollocks. Folk aren't there for him thus he hasn't drawn fuck all. Quote
madthatter Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 Folk who can afford £250 a ticket plus all the other costs, yet are Corbynistas. Fuck off. I live fairly local but couldn't go if I wanted to. That said, I'd not be paying that to live in squalor for 4-5 days. Last time I went someone shat on my tent. #foreveryoung Quote
Bigtoe Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 Smiley just started listening to the first few Ride tracks. Sounds good so far When is Gallagher on? Have i missed him? Quote
