I was told to get on bitcoin years ago but thought the lad who tipped me off was smoking crack. Turns out even a modest £1,000 investment then would have seen me become a multi millionaire now ffs

 

One lad I know has made about £700k on something called Ether from a few grand invested

 

Few of the lads are going balls deep into ripple bits as we speak

 

I'm weighing up a piece of the action

 

It looks like a volatile road but incredibly profitable if you land on the right peg

Solicitors spent 12 months trying to chase bitcoin, stupidly difficult to deal with. 

That guys got no chance, seems like most is held online now. 

Whenever I hear stories like this, I think of the time Lily Allen turned down hundreds of thousands of bitcoin as payment for a gig. She’d be a multi-billionaire if she’d taken (and kept) them.

She's just given up her podcast for mental health reasons.

 

Guessing that would probably be a factor knowing what you lost out on.

There's a lot of money to be made.......and a lot of money to be lost. I know people who've done very well out of it, but I do also know people who are in a bit of, shall we say "negative equity" with the chances of them ever climbing out of it not looking overly likely, at the minute

He does have point though. Crypto itself has no value or guaranteed value. If a ‘name’ endorses a currency that they hold it creates demand that pushes the price up, the people at the top make money, the lower down you are the less you make.

He's an ex city boy turned inequality campaigner. Talks a lot of sense to be fair. It appears he has exaggerated his trading record somewhat and that has been weaponised against him and his overall message. 

His voice is fucking grating though.

Yeah me too. Not for me the old Crypto. If you have a large portfolio of assets and want to stick a couple of percent in then fair play to you but large percentages of folks individual net worth is a bit risky.

Is now a good time For the government to cash in on some of their crypto assets? It would surely help to pay for a lot of their promises.
