MancWanderer Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Tried to do a bit of digging but found nowt Anyone know what the situation is this year regarding the line past Middlebrook? Any works planned to screw up my travel from Manc? Surely it can't be as bad this coming season as past years In particular the opening game against Leeds Quote

Traf Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Seriously? Fuck me!! So I can get a train to Bolton and then be a bus wanker I guess? Nope. Bus from manchester! http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/news/15343714.REVEALED__Commuters_face_transport_nightmare_as_train_station_shuts_for_TWO_WEEKS/ Quote
Casino Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 I still think a decent council would have reduced the impact of these works It's been dragged out so much More should've been done while tbe bridge works were causing disruption Pressure should have been brought to be doing as much as possible each time the line was shut Quote
Boby Brno Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 So Northern Rail asked the EFL to avoid fixtures at home or any team with a large following. Right ok. Leeds at home. Quote

radcliffe white Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 If that's the case then maybe just the Derby game Quote
Gonk Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Get the Wiggin train to Westhoughton and saunter down from there Quote
little whitt Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 train to Dasey hill and im sure the Leigh match bus goes past Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 train to Dasey hill and im sure the Leigh match bus goes pastIt does. Though it's quicker to get the train to Atherton and get the number 5 match bus rather than carrying on to Daisy Hill. Quote
radcliffe white Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 So it's only 1 home game not really a major issue regarding football Quote
kevt Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 It's buses from Manchester to Horwich for the Leeds match as well as the Derby match. If you're coming in from manc for the Middlesbrough and Brentford games there are trains from Victoria but not Piccadilly, Oxford Road or Deansgate. Quote
