Same old same old. Struggled to create much from open play. Luckily Madine had his best game in a Bolton shirt.

i thought midfield was non existent in the first half, madine looked ready to prove himself, thought burke looked steady when he came on

hoping vela's injury isnt a bad one

Thought we were in for a right sausaging after the poor first half. Madine was great and I like the look of the West Ham lads.

Not too disheartened though, played against a good team thought their no. 7, 8, 9 and 10 were all decent.

Not discouraged.

Good attitude from Leeds.

Buckley, Cullen, Burke and Armtrong all look interesting.

We'll be fine, after that.

Surprised by the comments on today's performance, Leeds where very average but beat us. We didn't create any decent opportunities from open play, only set pieces.

We set up not to lose which is always a mistake. Beevers, wheater and dervite looked way off the pace, Burke instantly made things feel more solid. Buckley and Armstrong made us look more of a threat.

Leeds are not one of the best teams in this league, if you want to stay up you have to be getting atleast a point off them at home. Hopefully next game he won't set them up so negative.

Not one of the best? Finished 7th last season and spent fortunes how do you make out their not one of the better teams?

My point being is there will be teams in this league I expect to cause us more problems.

I really like Andy Taylor

Just wish he'd trust himself to stick the ball in the box when he's on the run 12 or so yards from the goal line

As for the comment we only create from set pieces, so what

hope it was not much , but sure I saw the lower part of his leg/ankle wobble as he was rolling over . Im very worried.

Looked to me like a lower leg break as well, hope I'm wrong though and it's nothing more than an impact injury.

Can't believe the challenge didn't get brought back for a foul though.

Felt a bit sorry for him and Darby today; they were both isolated and had very few options when they had the ball, yet got a fair bit of stick

Madine was superb in the air today and showed great application; assume he's kept fit pre-season. If only he wasn't a pudding with the ball at his feet

I thought he was holding the top of his foot/ankle. Looked like he kicked through the studs of the Leeds player.

Hope it's just an impact injury and nothing serious, he was good today.

For me a would like to see madine and Armstrong upfront v millwall.

Despite the penalty today can't see le fondre offering to much

Watched on telly as abroad but encouraged that heads didn't go down. Under Lennon that would be been a massacre

Broken ankle for Vela I suspect. Big worry has to be ligament damage on top. That would likely be a season long job.

To be honest it didn't look good at all. Worst player to get injured as I think he's key to how we play. Bit worrying now, because we desperately need a midfield player. Not sure we've got room in the squad for one.

Can't say for sure without seeing a replay but I thought their mon left his leg in on Vela on first viewing. More than a bit naughty if that was proved to be the case.

Plenty of things to take from that game, not least that we got ourselves back in to the game when we looked on course for a bit of a shoeing at one point.

I know it's a cliche but Leeds showed the step up in division; no way would a League One team have been as clinical. Likewise Darby has got to get to grips with keeping concentration; it's not often that you'll see a wing back playing everyone onside.

Would have liked Cullen to get his foot on the ball and get his head up a bit more instead of wanting to get rid of it ASAP but there's something to work with hopefully.

Madine superb and I think Armstrong would play well off him but ALF is only likely to thrive if Buckley and Morais are getting balls in to the box for him.

Definitely some encouraging signs against a side who will be there or thereabouts. Cut out the little mistakes and we'll make a good fist of staying up. Post-match traffic was miles kinder in League One though!

Whilst disappointed with the result I was heartened by the performance

Going forward we were good but fuck me the defence was awful. If Parky can strike the right balance in midfield we'll be reet. The injury to Vela looked a bad one

If they are top six contenders, we'll be reet. Cullen looked tidy and Burke looked very quick, which is what we needed. Also fair play to Parky, big call to drop the club captain. Nice to see both strikers off the mark. Could have defended better but trust Parky to put that right. Roll on Millwall.

Losing Vela would be catastrophic.

He was immense today as was Madine.

Not worried about relegation based on that performance but there's time yet.

We need Vela fit. Simple as that.

Apart from starting too slowly and giving them too much respect, I thought we did ok. Burke looks a cut above all other centre halves we have.

I'll give Darby the benefit of the doubt and say he looks rusty. Cullen grew into the game as it went on, Jem a bit disappointing.

I can't help but think PP will revert back to type and go 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 once we have our injured players back. What price a deal for Speaing if Vela is out long term?

I still not convinced by vela at this level however I hope his injury isn't serious.

Hope vela isn't serious but wouldn't say catastrophic losing him as I also have doubts over him at this level

If Vela is put we could do with the industry of Pratley

Was he injured today?

We paid the price for a poor 1st half imo, we were like rabbits frozen by a cars headlights and paid them too much respect.

Leeds aren't actually that mighty anymore, they took their chances well but were beatable imo.

Pulled out couple of hours before ko nothing major apparently

All 3 goals came from errors in defence, cut them out and then there are positives to build on. Darby and Taylor struggled and Cullen was missing for the majority of the game. We were missing a Spearing type of player today, someone to control midfield and break up play, it was on the lightweight side with Cullen and Karacan. Burke was very impressive when he came on, seem to have that pace to cover the ground that we lacked in the first half. Armstrong and Buckley also did well when they come on. You could tell we was lacking that creativity in open play that Ameobi and Morais would provide. All in all going off today I think there was enough on show to keep us in the division come may.

If Vela is put we could do with the industry of Pratley

Sickness bug I think. With regards to Vela, if his injury is long term, we need to offload and bring in a replacement sharpish!
