Jules was close to having an I love Gary Madine tattoo when he punted that 30 yard lob.

 

Think they were lucky / took their chances to be 3-1 up at half time. Would have loved to nick a draw after getting it back to 3-2.

 

Could do with a spearing type player and about £500m to strengthen and we'll piss it!

Sickness bug I think. With regards to Vela, if his injury is long term, we need to offload and bring in a replacement sharpish!

Is there for a market for players with broken legs?

Not too disappointed, reasonable performance all things considered

 

Madine was awesome, one of the best performances I've seen from him, reminded me of his debut against Derby at home opening day 2 years back

 

The West Ham lad who came on looks really good, he should start, especially if we have three centre halves on the pitch

 

Our three in midfield looked to be a bit weak for me. The West Ham lad reminded me of Spearing on an average day earlier on but he got better into second half. Karacan was best of the three for me so I was surprised he went off. I thought Vela was neither here or there

 

Think ALF could have done more to get onto Madine's flicks today, Armstrong may challenge him for a starting peg

Amazing how much comfortable we looked working the ball through midi field without pratley.

 

There's no doubt pratley works hard but he simply isn't a centre midfielder nor a defensive midfielder nor a playmaker

Morris is fit again, just not trained too much. I wouldn't be surprised to se him play some part at Crewe

Just read Pratley had a virus so (maybe) not the brave decision I was praising Parky for. We'll need him to step up now with Vela's injury.

Not since the Wanderers cornered it mate. Only us specialise in crocks now.

At 2 down, it looked like we could be in for a pasting. Neither full back looked comfortable as wing backs either defensively or going forward....they're probably both alright as traditional full backs but wing back is a different set of skills.

 

Pluses...heads didn't drop & we were still going full pelt at the end.....there's a bit of fighting spirit about this squad.

Cullen got better as the game went on & Buckley, Burke & Armstrong all looked promising & with Ameobi & Morais still to come....it may take a few games to shuffle them all into our best team.

M-O-M  Madine, though unsurprisingly he ran out of steam in the last 10/15 mins.

Funny as fuck. The Steward wouldn't let Rochdale white flag on the netting as, in his words, it was a neutral area. Then a different steward was assisting Leeds fans to put their flags up in the same place.
