True. But it's important to respect democracy though. If they have another referendum, and vote out, so be it. Or perhaps we could ignore the will of the Scots in those circumstances. Quote
leigh white Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 If the Tories do get in, what a fucking challenge for that party to sort out. Quote

They've said there won't be another Scottish referendum. Not for a good while at least. Labour, on the other hand have not long ago suggested they might grant one, for favours from the SNP. You might have to waiver from red mate... Quote

It comes to something when the government of the day launched an election saying "stability with me or chaos with Ed". Then within a year the PM had launched a referendum to settle an internal Tory dispute, lost the referendum, stepped down the day after, created a huge vacuum, the vacuum filled by a new leader who said she didn't want an election, but then called for one, on the basis of "strong and stable leadership and getting Brexit done" lost seats in the election and had to run a minority government with the DUP nutters offering support - failed to get Brexit done because her own party and partners wouldn't support it, then was forced out by her own party, to be replaced by Boris - who said he'd get Brexit done, no ifs, no buts - then chucked out 20 odd of his own MPs then failed to get it done because his DUP partners wouldn't back his deal....and in all that - in all that chaos wrought by the Tory party and their internal wrangling and chaos and instability - they have the gaul to blame the opposition. What's worse is many swallow it up. In fairness its a superb piece of propaganda and lies - but still the most ridiculous situation we're in that a single person, any single person can't look at this debacle and say "the Tory party have brought us here for their own reasons". Party before country every step of the way. The point in history where we failed was 2015. It was a disaster all round that EM didn't win that election. Cos he couldn't eat a sandwich. Sometimes you have to wonder whether someone is playing a hugely elaborate joke on us all. Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 Mess? Country is in better shape economically than it has been for ages. Still plenty to do, and it's been a long and difficult road, with unpopular actions. I have suffered because of them, but didn't complain as I can understand the reasons. I'd love a bigger house, in the sticks, but can't afford it. Quote
