3 years from now, I bet this has all been forgotten and we are taking the piss out of each other about who has the worst Bentley.

Thank me in 2021.

Well, there is also the lineage from the Scottish Enlightenment, which I'm sure she'd say the SNP was carrying the intellectual torch and the thoughts from people like Tom Nairn.

Which others also attribute to the Act of Union, 1707.

When people said 'why' Leavers voted Leave they were slagged off for assuming the reasons.
You mean Sturgeon wants to Leave for separatist reasons, plenty of others may have other reasons.

Go and witness their rallies, I've witnessed a few with their disgusting xenophobia. Would open your eyes, yet rarely gets a mention 😒 🤔

Here is a link re the next referendum Sturgeon wants, and the legality of it as we chatted about.

If Scotland were to leave, it would, in my emotional viewpoint, a loss to our nation.

A fundamental part of Britain.

So was NI

One down, 2 to go

There is no argument to make that the AoU played an important developmental part, it doesn't exist in a nationalistic vacuum, so not sure what point you are making. I was simply making the point that Scottish independence also has roots in a flourishing intellectual movement, is not just a simplistic fuck you to England.

Even if they leave, our histories, like those of Ireland and the States will be inextricably linked.

Check the historical pages re how some folk attributed it to the Act of Union, that is all I have said.

Still with us, I think you’ll find.

I must say that I don’t have the same personal attachment to NI

Some Scots wanting to Leave will vote for it, because they do not like English some will have other reasons.

Some who voted Brexit did so because they thought it was all about immigration and foreigners coming here. Some had other reasons

I know, that's what I acknowledged, but its got nothing to do with what I was saying.

I know mate, I worded it wrong. Should have said they were miffed by the Act of Union, and set about to change things.

Exactly, no doubt there is extreme xenophobes who want out, there are also those on a more realistic slate who take their cues from Tom Nairn etc as mentioned.

It's not cut and dried, just as those who wanted Brexit kept saying.

It's a bit rich to judge one by a set of standards, which you once repudiated to support a view.

This is a cracking short read from a Yes voter regarding both sides.

Echoes quite a bit of your sentiments 👍

She moans about everything, though.

Youre just being contrary now. You aren’t @Cheese, you know!

If I had a pound for every time I've been mentioned here today when it's not even a response to one of my posts, I'd have about 6 pounds.

Was he in Poland an' all?

Kent's been 'redpilled' haha - how quaint.

Matrix references are 100% the hallmark of the lunatic fringes of society, folk like your internet fwends Vance, Kyle and Woodsy...

I hope The SNP do implode, Labour will be a shoe-in afterwards.
