im a bit narked having another one playing at PM though

just get her fucked off

It is strange. Hunt is talking common sense.

We have had to help people with their bills and the hangover from Covid so something needs to give so increase in tax and tighten public spending

But it is the opposite of what they did a week and a half ago. It is a massive step in the right direction for the country and the Tories .

get a remainer in and logic returns

She was also a libdem and a republican.

Wouldn't surprise me if she changed football teams as well.

Just for @bolty58 🙂

May be an image of 1 person and text that says "ON THIS DAY IN 1925 Margaret Thatcher was born Conservatives"

..bugger, just checked, it was actually last Thursday

That is more or less a complete reversal of the mini-budget. How can Truss remain in charge after that? Hunt is now the leader in all but name.

She'd probably make up she was a football fan but get the name of the team wrong

You'd think she's a "dead woman walking" now wouldn't you - I just don't see how she can possibly stay in the job. As is wildly rumoured, I'm sure that Mordaunt and Sunak are stalking the corridors of power and are being lined up to take over......fuck knows how they do about doing it though, unless the 1922 mob are just going to massively change the rules

I’d give her two weeks. She stood and criticised labour for their energy support only going until April. They have just announced exactly the same plan.

The "Energy Price guarantee" has been cut from 2 years to 6 months - which is a Labour policy. Weeks of screeching about it, and then they just copy it word for word. Amazing.

Aye, I just posted the same. This poor opposition we keep hearing about yet the Tories copy most of their policies 😂

Is that the Labour party that can't be trusted with the economy? Surely not.

Starmer will surely rip her a new one at PMQs this week

I think he can just stand there and say, 'go on then, explain yourself....'

Can you imagine Truss' day on Wednesday? PMQs then having to discuss the past week with the King.

I'd phone in sick.

I wonder if even @bolty58is a bit embarrassed by what's happening to the Tory Party at the minute.

I think the best thing they can do now, is call a GE, and take their medicine. My worry is that the longer they hold on, the worse it gets, and I want them to get back to being the Party that they're supposed to be.

After all the "anti-growth coalition" bollocks too. What an absolute joke of a Government.

One of the main issues is that its a completely divided party, whereas the Conservatives are usually very good at shutting up and pulling in one direction to win elections, Brexit allowed an otherwise marginal wing of the party to take over, you've got now One-Nationists, Popularists and whatever this is under Truss I don't know...erm...the Greenwich Mentalists? All pulling in different directions. Its like when Labour pulls itself apart of the endlessly dull Centrists vs Left debate.

They will pull themselves together a bit with a new leader I would have thought but people won't forget the last 12 months very quickly.

Oh and Bolty will be fine about it - its the left wing media agenda that's causing all this bother. If Labour do win the next GE, the first misstep he's going to be all over this thread like a blue rash. Labour getting in is a win/win for the visionaries in many ways - they can blame them that Brexit is a mess. Lovely stuff!

The anti growth coalition were the visionaries who pulled us out of trading arrangements with our largest single trading partner and presided over the likely breakup of the UK.

None so blind as those who will not see......

After sorting the economy I am looking forward to Truss impact on the NI protocol and Scottish independence debates🙈
