It ain’t about policies. He hasn’t even formed a government. It’s about the vote. As Mounts said, a previously Liberal country voted in a right wing populist party. Holland isn’t alone.

It didnt do anything of the sort

Well in that case, most right wing governments in Europe over the last 100 years have been successful. Most left wing governments in Europe haven’t. Hope that answers your initial question.👍

What a load of total rubbish.

Not a massive scholar are you?

Oh and it doesn't answer his question poppet.

I went to a Reform UK conference at the Reebok, on my own and completely sober a couple of years back. Out if curiosity. The same way that you might drive closely past a deer that's been hit by a bus.

God it was grim.

Like watching a warm up for a Jim Davidson show. I got to see Nigel Farage drinking a pint of shit bitter bitter and smoke a fag while some skivvy did his shoelaces up for him.

Whenever I'm down I think about that skivvy and think about how life is so bad.

At least I think it was the Reform Party - they kept changing their names a lot around that time.

You know how they say you should go and watch people you don't necessarily agree with and see whether that chance change your mind. In this case I think you could have just watched a 2 minute party promo which they'd extended for an hour out to to allow Nige to get his fag breaks in.

Rule, Britannia!

Impressed that you went along mate. We obviously disagree but fair play on your sense of fair play (or at least trying for it).

It was stupid answer to a stupid question. Are we talking centre right, right, right right, far fight or fascist. There are a lot of governments in Europe.

I wasn’t expecting an answer anyway.

One man’s right wing dictatorship is another man’s pseudo-communist heaven.

Far right.

centre right has centre in it.

But the Mon in Holland is far right. He wants to ban a religion he doesn’t like.

It may be that the Dutch Muslim population will accept that and idyllic life follows for the whole country.

My spidey senses tell me otherwise.

Fair enough. ‘Centre’ is subjective as is Far Right. I don’t disagree that Wilders is Far Right though. Still not sure why you think I’m left wing though. My attempt at ‘balance’ must be working. 😊

It is good news, but it's keeping jobs rather than losing them. The proposed giga factory is far more interesting/important though, and hopefully that does happen, otherwise Nissan will pull the deal I'd have thought

Hitler made the trains run on time. Starter for ten.

You're getting him mixed up with Mussolini there, Spider. Easy mistake to make, I suppose. Just for clarity, Hitler was the one with the dodgy moustache and comb over combo. Mussolini was the one with the baldy head and jutting jawline.

And, before anyone dives in, Benito didn't actually improve the performance of Italian railways. It's an oft-quoted urban myth. 👍

It is bizarre that the Govt can directly change the number of immigrants coming here by changing the rules on visas and have just let the numbers rocket.

Stopping the boats is much more complex they issue a new statement nearly every day.

If I wanted to win an election I would do more on the stuff I can directly influence.

Wasn't it just one train he made run on time and it was the one that took him to meet Hitler or summat

Woman on the radio who studies immigration figures said the boats are less than 10% of the figures

Overseas students and their families, Ukrainians and people on working visas make up the majority

Given the Govt have cast their net worldwide to find people to work in the NHS etc after EU people left, means it's a problem of their own doing

Exactly. Post Brexit there was a shortage in the care sector. So they opened up visas in that area, that is highest area of growth.

These are net numbers, over a million came here, the folk who left were largely Europeans, replaced by folk from the rest of the world.

University funding has been cut so to balance they need to attract more overseas students who pay (or are funded) for their places more than UK students. Again a direct impact of Govt policy.

Think you are right that the boats are 10% of the total, but they are not included in these numbers unless they applied once they were here.

They really are a bunch of cunts.

This is great news - don't get me wrong.

But I feel like I've been reading this same headline for 5 years now. Or has there been something similar doing the round.

Anyway - just need a couple hundred more of these and I reckon we'll have definitely broken even 😉

Yep it was said the boat figures don't count until they if or when they are considered legal
