No

We're talking about bringing legislation in and the impact it can have

There's comparable examples that crop up admittedly but they are relevant

The potential impact of this law in particular has been explained to you several times... Do you think they're just banning disposable vapes for a laugh?

Explained 😃😃

You really need to try better

I just think it's pointless and won't change anything

Do you honestly think the kids on vape are going to go I'll have to give it up now?

That's the point - to disrupt availability and make it more difficult for kids to get hold of them. Then the "other ways" will probably be be dealt with too. That's how regulation works...

Not all of them no, but if they can't get them as easily as they currently can, it will have an effect.

No it won't

See under age drinking

I know you don't do Bolton away matches but cocaine is another one that pops up

All banned

Has it made any difference?

 Yes

There'd be far more underage drinkers and cocaine users if both were legal

Can you buy cocaine over the counter at your local shop? Can a child walk in and buy a bottle of vodka and a pack of Lambert & Butler?

Take your point- some reasoning seems bizarre- the fact that the some will find ways around it illustrates the need for constant updating.

I heard someone the other day say that the carrying of any knife without good cause (work presumably)should see an automatic sentence.

Wouldn't disagree, though the article says we have the toughest knife laws in the world, so perhaps we're not that bad.

First line, yes I could where I lived in  London

If youngsters are taking cocaine where's it coming from?

You're last points are completely irrelevant

So you used to buy cocaine from your local shop in London?

If youngsters are taking cocaine, it's coming from a drug dealer who will probably/hopefully face the consequences at some point.

I honestly don't know what you're getting at. What is your main argument against the ban on disposable vapes?

No

I know the situation and certainly know the dealer would disappear, knowing the area

But he'll be back

My main point is it'll achieve nothing

Clearly, no one can expect laws against either to prevent it happening outright

But it happens at a far lower rate than it would if those laws weren't in place

Laws say West Brom v Wolves should have passed off peacefully
