I think it’s time to throw away the current political system in the UK it’s like a Punch and Judy show it’s time for PR, let’s get out of the dark ages and have a completely different politics. What with this weather, Labour/Tory bitching fest the trains, the roads hardly navigable, it’s become a tiresome place to live.

You used to be able to just up sticks and move to, oh I don’t know, somewhere in Europe. 😁

Wrong on all points. It’s not just about the freebies. I haven’t mentioned them only to say ‘there’s no such thing as a free lunch’ They have been very vociferous about them themselves though so it’s just plain hypocrisy. It’s the rest that is turning people against them. The wfa, negative forecasts for the economy, negative comments about the NHS, the Nom Dom lie, Millibands climate aid etc. None mentioned or discussed on here. We have a budget to come soon. It’ll only get worse. Stay away from the papers and news if it upsets you.

Well 14 years of Tory government has got us here. Negative comments about the NHS😅 FFS. Yes it is going to get worse before it gets better and most of us already knew that because we have a 20 billion black hole, high taxes and all public services fucked. Your whingeing is quite pathetic😅

So you can’t go now?

I’m still working in UK so can’t go permanently… that’s if I wanted to go permanently.  Just admit your earlier statement is incorrect. Then we can move on. 👍

Show me where I’ve whinged apart from the WFA and everyone is whinging about that apart from the happy clappers. It’s a f**k up that will be around their neck for a long time. Just think, if Milliband had announced just £10.4 billion in overseas climate aid instead of 11.6, (the difference being the cost of WFA) that would have saved them the unprecedented revolt from their own members.
I’m actually quite restrained in my criticism as I know it’s upsets a few on here.😉

It’s not incorrect. You can’t just up sticks tomorrow and go live in Spain can you?

In 6 years time you’ll still be moaning when everyone else has moved on”

Constant moaning  about the result of a referendum 5 years ago achieves nothing”

And there’s plenty more where that came from😁

Not sure if that’s aimed at me but if I’m still moaning about Starmer in 5/6 years time, I’ll give you credit for spending your time searching the forum. 👍

It’s very easy to sit on the sidelines criticising everyone, which is what you’re claiming to be doing.

But your more vociferous criticism is reserved for Labour, with the odd “oh the Tories were baddies too” to try and give balance so you can claim to be in some way neutral.

Jenrick has thrown a £75k claim into the mix yesterday, so I think we can probably exclude donations from any shit slinging.

If you want to criticise any political party, you’ll never have to dig very deep. It’s so very easy to do. Path of least resistance and all that.

You won’t ever admit that 14 years of that particular mob was a fucking disaster though. We know why. 🥰

It takes 5 seconds, tops.

I  can give lessons if you like.

In 6 years your mate Nigel will have ridden to the rescue😁

Someone has to clear up the mess and it was never going to be popular. The alternative is to carry on under paying NHS staff, let prisons go out of control and spend hundreds of millions on immigration policies that don’t work.

He thought Farage was the solution.

You can go for 3 months, sort your residencia and stay forever.

Make sure you check the tax consequences of doing so, particularly around inheritance tax. My folks lived there for 15 years when they retired, but after Brexit they didn’t want who face the tax impact that came with residency, so decided to move back to the UK. Plenty of others moved back too.

Thanks for the heads up I did know that, and that’s a definite Brexit negative if you want to live out there permanently…. I’d be happy using 6 months Spain, 3 months UK and 3 months elsewhere in the world. 3 months in UK is enough for me.

Can’t find the original quote to this but he’s usually spot on.
