What are the chances of a no deal then a snap referendum to see what folk want to do?

Seeing as those voting to leave probably based their judgement on a deal being made.

I was listening to Farage the other night on LBC....I know I shouldn't, but I can't help it, he's such a plum

Anyway, he was saying that if the UK had another referendum today, he reckons it would be 75% for leave (this was based on some research he had done)

Last night, he was actually backed into a corner a bit by a caller, and stated that it would be worth Britain going into a recession and having pain, as long as we at least had "control"  -  he really is a dick

So you think we might enter a recession then?

No. But as in any economy one will occur somewhere down the line. No doubt some whoppers will blame Brexit whenever it happens.

Major major issues for a political party if that ever happens but I wouldn't rule anything out.

Getting it in there nice and early mounts.

Like your style :D

I agree that the next recession will be blamed on Brexit  - if it happens early or mid 2018, and only here in the UK, then I think it's fair to blame the Brexit process, and I'm sure even you couldn't argue against that.

If it happens in other nations at the same time, then of course pinning it all on Brexit would be ridiculous

I'm not saying we will have a recession, I really don't know, fingers crossed we don't fall off a financial cliff by leaving with no deal.....I don't think that will happen either. I personally think we'll end up staying in, in all but name, that's what's going to happen eventually, which will be shit all round. We'll pay money each year, in order to keep the free trade, and we will "close" the borders to free movement....but we will still let shit loads in as we need them for the unskilled work that the natives don't and won't ever do

I loved Boris ripping into labour yesterday in the House of Commons directly addressing them that they'd pay 100 billion for access. labour traitors.

We still don't know how much we will actually pay yet..........it could still end up that high (I doubt it, but we really don't know)

I wonder in reality, what the government thinks is an "acceptable" number, they must have some idea. I know we'll be starting low, and you would expect the EU to start high (after all, this is a negotiation) - hopefully the number both sides are willing to accept isn't too different

No Gonzo, it just 'project fear' but on the plus side we should have full employment for all those that don't even want to work

When do we come out of the other side then? Not being funny but I need to retire in about 20 years. We were told our economy was ripping up trees last year. Maybe they meany literally.

I am just trying to decide should I opt out of my safe final salary scheme and jump into an investment fund. For me an early recession to get the money in followed by a quick recovery would be ideal.

52,000 less unemployed this month, most of the EU would kill for unemployment around 4% were doing alright.

we are doing fine in the eu, then

lets hope it continues if we leave

The global economy is doing very well, so remainders shouldn't expect a recession.

It'll give them one less imaginary reason to moan about.

That said, if a minority constantly mains about something, I suppose it could drag the country down.

No signs of the longed-for recession?

Thats already down next month with Vauxhall, Sainsbury's and BAE all cutting jobs.

I don't think we do monthly figures theee days

But.....might job gains outweigh losses?

You should have left it unedited, I liked it!

We haven't left yet.

Longed for you say?

Don't think anybody wants it BD.

It would be a fucking disaster for me and my family. Like it was the last time.

It's no laughing matter it really isn't.

We are jeopardising businesses and families welfares on a load of bollocks.

You might not get hit, but families like mine certainly will.

Yeah, there's jobs and there's "jobs" paying £8 an hour. Wages are falling, that's what bothers me most.
