He's a bit lefty for my tastes

Do you think? I've always found him really fair. They would have been much better served having him do the questions to the candidates than Jeremy Paxman at the last election in my opinion.

I like Andrew Neil as well for a bit of balance :-)

I bet that'll be really interesting mate. I'm about to start a night shift!

Ask her if she thinks Bolton have enough quality to avoid the drop?

Top of the list.

Yeah - looking forward to it, and got a free book into the bargain.

Have a good shift - you can livestream if it gets dull at work!

Question for Clinton "now you have gone grey is your fanny hair like a month old brillo pad?"

The reason it's taking so long to leave the EU is also a question of Law

Nothing to do with the fact that we are in control of our own destiny (or not as some believe)

It's just process like everything else, can't be done in a fortnight, no matter what some folk may think

Quite. I think that was bd's (tongue in cheek?) point.

I do agree, whoever makes the laws, stuff will take ages.

Has Hilary got £25m spare she could give ken.

Just trying to think who I don't mind.

I don't like the attitude of all that I can think of, just too condemning.

Not lefty? Have a look at his wiki.

I don't mind him compared to one or two others, such as Laura K and they one who interviewed Teresa May after Grenfell.

It's almost as though the media think they are the opposition in parliament

Andrew Neill is OK but I think sometimes likes to grill someone just for the sake of it. Better than Paxo any day of the week.

Quite agree re those two Scottish ladies- can't abide their technique. I know they're supposed to get to the bottom of things, but there's doing so with dignity and doing so with rudeness and an over inflated sense of self importance.

And they wonder why they get paid less......

Just trying to think who I don't mind.

To be fair, I like Laura K

I think the attacks she received on social media from the left were ridiculous

It was James Naughtie who interviewed her.

Facinating woman and a really good insight into her thoughts on the election, very lucky to have hear her speak.

Project No Deal Fear is this years Project Fear

'No deal is better than s bad deal' Is this years 'the sky won't fall in'

What I don't get about the Remoaners is that they can't see that the 'No deal' threat is the ace in the hole. Maybe they do realise and it's all about sabotage.

Take that away and the negotiating position is automatically weakened. Comrade Jeremy and his sidekick are either too thick to understand this or just want to partake in some political bastardry.

Why that cunt Heseltine gets any air time is beyond me. He was a failure when he was in politics. Why we need to hear from the wotten wascal now is a complete mystery.

Have a read up on what happens if we don't do a deal!

Juncker doesn't want a deal, and that could really turn many remainders against him.

Remainers trying to sabotage the democratic process and Labour doing everything they can to sabotage the Tories and attempt to unstabilise the government all for their own political gain even if that means helping the EU over their own nation. Hopefully the UK public won't forget that at the next election.

¿Por qué todo esto es de interés para dos españoles adoptados?

Hardly sabotage is it, everyone has the right to their opinion

Very much like what the Eurosceptics in politics have been doing for decades, you wouldn't call it sabotage though ffs

So you don't accept the idea that some might be trying to sabotage the whole deal then? Remoaners have been on about a second referendum etc. for months now.

Yes, everyone has the right to their opinion. This is expressed via the ballot box in democratic countries and the people have already spoken. Their opinion has already been expressed.

Time for the losing side to step aside and allow the winning side to negotiate the best deal without trying to throw spanners in the works.

If no deal, WTO rules is our BATNA then its a problem given its a stronger BATNA for the other side.

Nobody is sabotaging anything. Brexit is in charge. And making a right royal mess out of it. Davis, Boris etc....The winning side are negotiating. And they are the ones creating the mess. What you seem to find hard to accept is that the right in the UK are entirely incompetent, unusually so. One can say much about Thatcher and Major but they generally had governments with competence levels far higher than we see now. The Tory party are the problem here. They are so split and command a tiny majority. Its created a mess. But the mess wouldn't exist if Davis et al knew what they were doing, its clear though that putting them into this position has called their bluff. Nobody who campaigned for Brexit had the faintest idea how to deliver it. Or even what they would deliver. Hence 7 months into negotiations and we still haven't laid out coherently or otherwise what our Brexit plan is. Even basics like the Ireland border...nobody has a clear vision for what that will be. We're 7 months in nearly a year and a half after the vote and they're still making it up as they go along. Its embarrassingly amateurish. Just as during the campaign, the only thing the brexiteers have is continual cliched talk of "a stronger Britain, free to make her own decisions". But its meaningless rhetoric. During the campaign was bad enough. 7 months into negotiations that is nothing short of scandalous.

It's impossible for remain voters to sabotage the deal, they aren't negotiating it

It was voted for democratically and it will be done democratically, all this talk that opponents of BREXIT can't voice an opinion on it is bollocks

We voted in and it didnt stop Eurosceptocs pissing and moaning about it for decades. Now we voted out we will have remainers pissing and moaning about it for decades

That's just politics for you

But the 'Remoaners' pointed out that the whole thing was a farce because we did not know what we were voting for the usuals on here shouted them down.

As for Labour sabotaging the Tories well that is nothing new, it happens in a democracy.

The Tories are doing it better to themselves !

Blaming remainers is simply a deflection tactic. Corbyn can snipe from the sidelines, it changes nothing, its an irrelevance. He isn't even a remainer. He's no more a fan of the EU than half the Brexit camp. The issue is purely down to the government and the Brexit negotiating team. They have created the mess and cannot solve it. If the opposition parties weren't pointing this out, they'd not be doing their jobs.

German coalition talks start on Wednesday.

It is not certain that a 'Jamaica' coalition can be formed, but that is the likeliest outcome.

It may be that a requirement for this is for Merkel to stand down (because of her personal stance on immigration).

Until Germany has a working government the EU cannot seriously negotiate.

'No deal' is a realistic possibility, because one of the many parliaments involved may fail to ratify a proposed agreement within the 2 years.

The issue is purely down to the government and the Brexit negotiating team.

That's pretty much the situation.

I know some people on here had May down as the new Thatcher, but clearly she's not, and she's weak as piss. Whilst she isn't actually doing the negotiation, she really isn't putting forward a good image at all, it's almost laughable, I feel a bit sorry for her, as nothing she does is right. She needs to go, and the sooner the better

You have Davis as the  main negotiator, and people thought he would be great, he's looking weaker and weaker by the day

Boris is milling around on the periphery, and he clearly has his eyes on the top job. He changes his thoughts like the wind, he'll do whatever it takes to get that top job

The Conservative Party seem to be in a huge mess. It is incredible that so long after the vote, we don't seem to have done much at all.

We seem, very quickly, to have gone from a "We hold all the cards" and "Leaving will be straight forward and done quickly" situation to the exact opposite.

Hopefully common sense will prevail, but this is politicians that we're talking about...............
