I am assuming that you know this because you would be one of them?

You have gone up in my estimation.  ;)

Well, wait and see, you'll probably get some wishy-washy watered-down and pointless Brexit delivered by your party anyway, and there'll barely be a murmur...

Edit: I meant Brexshit, I forgot to use the really grown-up vernacular that's sprung up around this whole issue...

Vote Jeremy matey. You know it makes sense. Moaning in a bread queue is de rigueur for lefties.

I certainly won't be on a breadline when we get in, if there are breadlines however it'll do all the materialistic lumpenproles a bit of good though...A bit of a short, sharp shock to distract them from Love Island and River Island...

That really would be a trigger for civil disobedience.

Time for the Bolty water cannon again?

True but if you are harbouring hopes of Tusks fanciful scenario coming to pass, don't.

I would hate to think what would happen in the UK should a democratic decision like this be overturned. That really would be a trigger for civil disobedience.

You spend a lot of time posting about civil disobedience at the football in the 70's for someone concerned about law and order.

A country cannot be governed on the basis of not doing what is right in case folk kick off on the streets.

It's not right to not execute the democratic will of the people is that what you are suggesting the government should do?

Who'd have thought you think that.

always happy to surprise you MK

Surely by its very definition, democracy means something can be changed by the ballot box? Irrespective of what has been decided up on in the past? Or do we HAVE to leave? Would leaving for a day and then rejoining on the same terms the next day be acceptable, if that was voted for democratically suffice? Then everyone gets their way.

if it drags on long enough, the next general election could well be a referendum on staying/leaving the EU

In which case the outcome could be very confusing, to say the least.

I don't think it would trigger much at all, most people are bored to fuck of it now, and really don't give a monkeys either way

If we leave and rejoin the next day we will not got the same terms as we have now.

Correct, that would trigger "even worse" terms, I think we'd have to join the Euro as well wouldn't we?

That would be interesting........especially as it might well be split as Tory (stay in) and Labour (Leave)  -  it won't happen, but that would put the cat amongst the pigeons

The Tories would be wiped out if they campaigned next election to remain, they need to push Brexit through before next election. it's certainly going to be interesting times in politics over the next few years.

Unless the public decided that it might be better that we stay

You are right though, the politics in this country are going to be interesting over the next few years......no matter which "side" you're on, it's clearly a bit of a mess at present and unclear who actually wants what, and in what timescales.

i think the issue with labour and the tories is neither 'side' is in agreement

they need to take a firm position one way or the other

as it stands, id be putting a bit on my money on the lib dems getting a decent share of the seats

Imagine them and the Scotchers holding the balance of power  :|

If we leave and rejoin the next day we will not got the same terms as we have now.

OK then, rejoin the day after on worse terms. Still acceptable, democratically, yes?

They went down the anti Brexit route last election that didn't end well for them and cables a dipstick so can't see that happening.

they did, but i think things have moved on

the only significant (ish) anti brexit option is lib dem

labour will continue on their charge to the left and im not sure they have a real position on brexit

my vote has always gone to the tories but i cant be doing with them

and its not because of may - actually have a lot of sympathy as she really cant win, whatever she does

id prefer to see a completely new, alternative middle ground anti brexit party

id vote for them

But suppose your vote helped bring LibDems level with the Cons in your area, and let Labour in with 36%?

If most of the world thought we were mad to leave, they would know we were to reverse the decision in such circumstances.

Irrelevant.
