  • Just to update, just got out of theatre in Wythenshawe following insertion of two stents. Thanks all for the good wishes.

  • Never had flu because it's a made up affliction.   You shower of queers.

  • Had the jab a few years ago when work were sending folk for it free of charge. Maybe a coincidence but I seemed to pick up more colds that winter than I've ever done in my life. Never bothered with it

I get mine free as i'm a carer for the missus.

I bloody hate injections though as im a massive fanny

I also don't think I've ever had 'flu. Most folk who claim to have it are soft cunts who have a bit of a sniffle. Same as birds who claim to have migraines when they've just got a headache ... Or they just fancy an afternoon off.

Let your arm go floppy and you won't feel a thing.

Let your arm go floppy and you won't feel a thing.

I know that it doesn't stop my arm tensing up anytime the needle gets near me.

You'd think after the massive needles used to reinflate my lungs I'd be OK with little injection ones.

Can you have it in your cock then?

I'm paying for all my staff that want it to get it done

Think it's £25 each? Edit, just checked - £12.99 at Boots. Bargain!

Well worth it

Will you pay for mine, too?

The butler, footmen, cooks, nanny and gardeners?

:)

I know that I should have it done but I was so fucking ill the last time it's really putting me off

I have my bloods done twice a year and have no fear of needles/injections but it was so bad it genuinely makes me say no. And I know that it was probably nowt to do with the injection - live strains, etc

Had mine yesterday morning.

Had the lurgy for a few days. Wouldn't fancy a flu jab on top.

Had mine yesterday morning.

Me too. But for the first time in my experience the surgery were organised. I was in and out in no more than 2 minutes, as compared to queueing 15 minutes outside and then 15 minutes inside with all the over 60s in town. It may have helped that it was 8.15am.

I just walked into the pharmacy, filled in a form, coughed up £10 and then was injected. No more than 10 minutes from walking in to walking out. Had there been a queue, even of 1 person in front of me I wouldn't have bothered.

No such thing.

As said earlier did  mine in Asda on Tuesday £5 , no queue ,done in minutes , not even a twinge in my arm

Im as right as ninepence

Sweep: Doc, Flu is so bad I coughed up 10 quid here yesterday

Doc: How is your cough  now?

Sweep: No change

Fiver at Asda.

Frank, you can have the nasal spray instead of the injection, supposed to be more effective.

I'll ask at the GP when I'm in with the missus next week.
  • 2 months later...

The majority of the family who sat down for Xmas dinner have been wiped out with FLU (including myself), only 2 out of 12 have come away unscathed

My 20 month old nephew ended up in A&E on Boxing Day and they kept him in over night as his temp had gone through the roof

Assuming it’s this Aussie Flu that’s in the papers, it’s a contagious / nasty little bastard, be careful!

Was it definitely flu?

My missus has had an infection which led to a touch of pneumonia- doc reckoned a lot of it about, but not flu.

Had antibiotics which seem to have done the trick.

Assuming so, we all had very similar symptoms to varying degrees, fit the MO of this Aussie flu

All started off with dodgy stomachs / diarrhoea so we thought it was food related however the babies also had diarrhoea and they hadn’t eaten the same food. Soon led to other more flu like symptoms with chest infections and tonsillitis in the mix

Sounds like the wife and lad that.

He was wazzing up for a couple of nights before starting with the snots.

She just came home aching then her temp went up. Never seen her so rough- but she'd had the flu jab!

My old fella has had the flu jab following his heart attack last Xmas, he has had it as well

According to the papers it’s a slightly different strain and the jabs might not offer the usual protection

I've had something since November, fucking ridiculous. Aussie twats.

The Mrs Nan got taken into hospital with pneumonia last night on the back of this virus, 2nd family member hospitalised
