As pointed out to me (before he scored).... Armstrong needs to play as a No.10 behind Madine.

Hey presto, minutes after being given this snippet of opinion, Madine wins the ball, falls to Armstrong.... goal. Point proven.

 

Was the same with zach clough, we saw him at his best when he got central, but was wasted being told to hang around out wide

I first saw at a Real Sociedad game after Carlos Vela scored, the Spanish word for candle is vela.

It wasn’t a pen imo. Their lad got a toe to the ball & Sammyammy fell over his outstretched leg. Our players closest to the incident didn’t protest at all.

Great tackle imo.

Back to the game one of the highlights for me was Ameobi chasing a ball to close down the keeper then Madine on next player, then Vela till ball was kicked out for a throw in, crowd went crazy. Just good to see the level of commitment especially from Ameobi and Madine who maybe in the past have not chased as much as we might hope.

Things ain’t going too well for ZC.

 

Won heavily and weekend and he wasn’t even one of the 3 used subs.

 

Mind, he’ll be doing fine I guess with the contract he was awarded.

 

Would have been better learning his trade here but guess we had to sell.

It was widely seen that Zach didn't really want to leave and that the club didn't really want to sell him. But we were hours from going bump many times during that time so as one of our few saleable assets he had to go.

I remember him doing Kolerov in the first 5 seconds of the first match of the season against CIty.
