Wanderers 2-1 Norwich

Can't believe it's only  just over 48 hours away and no thread.

Anyhoo 2-1.

Dowter and boyfriend are up here for this one, any spares before I have to give Ken another £60 on top of my season ticket :)

Oh and Charlton - before Malc  pipes up

Thought Robinson did ok as game wore on, was getting exposed a bit first half because their right back was bombing on with real pace and Armstrong wasn't helping him much. They sorted it and he was much less of a threat second half.

Robinson's distribution a bit hit and miss but got some strong tackles in and his clearing header Midway through second half was a goal saver

What odds are we for promotion?

tuck in

Robinson will be decent in time. Unfortunately, Everton want a lot of his mistakes out the way playing for us. Not seen a scrap of today yet but there’s no way we go 3-2 up at Sunderland with Taylor playing.

Robinson is way better going forward, not convinced defensively but he’s far from a bad un

We looked like a team playing with confidence and belief today, same XI next time out.

Good win lids, hope it build confidence and you go on a run.

And thats the only spelling mistake you spotted......

Little and Ameobi had their left back and left mid on toast back end of first half, no surprise their manager changed shape at h/t. Little had a cracking game.

Vela got through incredible amount of selfless work when we were (often) without the ball.

Madine gave their two centre backs more and more trouble as game went on, the no6 who rugby tackled him second half in particular.

Henry a big asset, does all the dirty work, sensible on ball and doesn't waste it often.

All about what you do with the ball not how much of it you have, they thought they were City or Barca first half, pitter pattering it about at the back while we stood off them, as soon as we got a little bit of a head of steam up they got flustered and folded. Ironic that their best chance before their goal came from a hoof down the middle. Didn't think they were very good at all but we were and that's the main thing.

We're back in touch, in the mix and have hope. A good Saturday night

Good to hear your common sense views on the game, been quite a while since you posted.

I'm not convinced with him in the slightest but time will tell

A fit Taylor starts over him every time for me

Little is getting better mind

Taylor's been woeful for me too slow and out of his depth at this level. I worry about Robinson defensively but at least he puts the opposition on the back foot with his adventure and pace, he'd start for me ahead of Taylor.

A bit worrying at first when Norwich looked a good passing side until it turned out that they weren't creating anything.....pretty but ineffective.

For us, loads of plusses, not least the fighting spirit & effort that all our players put in.

Individually, Robinson showed his inexperience early on & Zorro gave him a hard time but he got better as it went on...a good effort, Vela never gave them a second's peace & was still going full pelt at the end, Madine just got better & better, but MOM must be Ameobi who was a constant threat with the ball but also works so hard for the team ......no wonder that Little looks a much better player with Ameobi playing.

Hurrah.

Vela has such an incredible work rate.

Once Madine, Ameobi and most of our attack were pressing their team, we caused them big problems.

We’ve done brilliant considering before, we was on what, 9/10 points behind Sunderland 5 matches ago ?

Hope we can carry on this run.

Also saw a stat on twitter, said Ameobi did more tackles than any other player.

And he also completed 90 minutes.

He’s been great, especially considering his asthma problems.

Do you want me to do the lot? I don't actually know whether lids is Kids or Lads but either way, it isn't right. Build requires a S on the end. You're we've dealt with. Ellipses consists of just three full stops, not the four you used. Although I'd have used a single exclamation mark in place of your ellipses. A full stop following "lids" and a capital letter H for Hope. You might consider using "it's" in place of "it is"

No.

Micky, you boring fucker.

Have a beer, relax and be happy.

Getting worse than Malc.

He did ask.

You need to know that I'm not randomly taking the piss out of a poster. We do actually know each other and besides, he's an Everton fan so deserves all he gets.

What's with this flashing lights bollocks?

I asked the kid next to me, who had his camera on.

He didn't know.

Strange game today, weren't at the races for the first 25, then attacked and we looked quite dangerous until half time.

Fair play to Gary today, thought he was excellent, as was vela, ameobi and Henry. I also like Robinson, but more going forward than

defending (bit like a young Alonso)

Should have had a pen second half and in the lead up to their goal was defo obstruction on ameobi.

They missed some chances, but that is a big win.

Onwards and upwards......

Bloody splendid that today.

Love watching ameobi, such a positive player and works well with little who was also excellent.

Vela as ever ran his bollocks off, his pressing of their back 4 is vital and exactly what we’ve missed. Henry also presses well when needs be.

After a shaky start, Robinson grew into the game with confidence and made a vital header at the back post that would have gone in a month ago.

Madine superb throughout.

Ref dogshit throughout from the minute he fucked the minutes silence up.

Thanks, been struggling to get to games this season due to work, hols, coaching dutues, today actually first home game I've seen, so just been taking in the views of those who've been there every week.

Ameobi May well be our best defender as well as attacker. Coywm

His tracking back was Anelka-esque at one stage. Has that similar ability to Diouf as well where he can come out of tight spaces still with possession, it’s a great way to take the pressure off us. Very impressed with him.
