Lostock Whites Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Agree with our attendances but no chance on 20k more regular. I'd be amazed if we get 200 more tomorrow Yeah, I doubt 15 quid for reading at home tomorrow will make a difference. Maybe if it was a Saturday. Particularly as fans like myself won’t be able to make it, due to it being a midweek match. Quote
MalcolmW Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Our ticket prices are shocking. Near £30 for adults pretty much every game. We aren’t gonna get 20k plus outside the Prem. Unfortunately, we are only 40 minutes away from Man U, Man City, Liverpool, Everton etc. For us to be 23rd, and having expensive tickets, it’s a bit ridiculous of a thing for him to say. Need to do what Bradford and Huddersfield have done, cheap tickets, 20k plus crowds, great atmospheres. And I don’t really believe the clubs finances are so dependent on tickets. I had a dream that the Glazers sold out to the Trump organisation. That would knock them down a bit. Quote
radcliffe white Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Brentford was shy of 14k at £15 Would of thought similar tomorrow Quote
Zico Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Unfortunately, we are only 40 minutes away from Man U, Man City, Liverpool, Everton etc. I don't think this has anything to do with it - I'd say our crowds are what they are for this level - and probably not too dissimilar from what they were back in the early championship days at the reebok 98-01 - and that's with 10+ years in the PL to attract more fans - 15k is our level if we're plodding along in the championship we saw last season when we're doing well and tickets are cheap we can get up nearer 20k - those missing fans aren't now going watching teams 40 minutes down the road instead (certainly not if travel and price are a factor) - you can even now watch every home game for £6 online so to get the fans back we need to: a) challenge for promotion then make tickets cheaper for attractive games c) get promoted d) stay there Quote
Sweep Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 I think we certainly could. Before our shit form this season, we were averaging 17/18k. With big away crowds in the Champ, 20k is very achievable. If we started performing better and reduced the prices, it’s certainly possible. I get that, but if we reduce the prices, and get an extra 3000 people through the gates......but actually get less income, then it's not going to happen Quote
waffer cup 07 Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 We don't seem to do any publicing or promotion work to attract new fans in the local community or other nearby towns these days. Quote
Traf Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 - you can even now watch every home game for £6 online More to the point, you and your mates can all watch for £6 together. Quote
Lostock Whites Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 (edited) 2003/4 season, we averaged around 27k, with some matches 28k+ Damnn, don’t we all miss the glory days! They will come back, one day... Edited November 20, 2017 by Lostock Whites Quote

Lostock Whites Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 So will the "Bolton Till I Die Or We Get Relegated" hordes It is quite frustrating to see where the 12k other fans have disappeared to. But can’t really be too surprised! Quote
Take Hunt Off Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 The 12k 'other' fans like many people I know were just JCL with some of them hanging on until our relegation from the prem our level is mid teens if there's not a complete collapse (like the eighties) in which case I dread to think certainly sub 10k can put numbers out for the big day out tbh but thats about it . Not much different to all our town neighbours , Jackburn/dingles/pne wiggin are in the next group down. Quote
MickyD Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 It's 15 quid tomorrow, so there will be loads on, according the the drop the price crew. I'm not convinced myself. And they'll all buy an extra hot dog. That is, an extra sausage in a finger bun, not a spicy version of the same. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Concerns aired the other day about the numbers of youngsters not coming to the game because of computer games and cost of matches. If it continues then may have repercussions down the line. Quote

gonzo Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Take a look at our crowds around 1999ish. They are just as bad if not worse than they are now. It will never be any different. Quote
Casino Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 I think we certainly could. Before our shit form this season, we were averaging 17/18k. leeds, first game, 20k, with 5 of them derby 15k, with plenty of them Quote

Matt Lofthouse Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Little would be a massive lossSat amongst the prawn sandwich Nob Enders last game and one comment I picked up on was ‘fuck me it’s Kyle Walker’ in a serious way. He’s been great for us recently. Quote
Gonk Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 I see Ken's doing a fans Q&A in Reflections before the match. I wonder if the Supporters Trust will boycott it because they weren't specifically invited? Quote
Guest Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 You just can't have enough attendance threads Super agent should make people turn up Quote
MickyD Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Will they be buttered though? Take your own butter. Quote
