Lostock Whites Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 With Brentford losing, we are currently the side with the longest unbeaten run. But a draw against Reading will feel more like a loss I think. Need 3 points with Wolves away coming up. Quote
paulhanley Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Sorry to be negative but I don't fancy us in this. Reading won away recently at Leeds and Derby. They're well equipped to hurt us. I think we'll lose. ...... however if they prove me wrong and win this one I'll really start to think fighting our way to survival is a possibility. Quote
Take Hunt Off Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 We are going to have to be on top form to win this one lets hope Sami has a blinder. All those thinking a point is no good might change their minds at HT. We need a win but might have to settle for another draw. Quote
CMW Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Apparently a Q&A with Ken is being arranged pre-match and ALL are welcome Details to follow later Quote
marple whites Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Really need 3 points and with a few fixtures over the next few weeks against teams around us, this is massive. Quote
MalcolmW Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Alf to play against his old club. 7-1 to the whites How many for ALF? Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 How many for ALF? One better than however many he scored for them in that drubbing. Quote
Ratwhite Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 How many for ALF? Honestly dont think ALF will get a chance with the current team/formation. Noone /Buckley will be preffered unless Madine gets injured Quote
radcliffe white Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Free upgrades from junior to adults tomorrow Quote
Naytch Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 2-0 Wanderers. Madine and a late ALF goal to seal it if he's fit. If not then Wheater Quote
tomski Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Superagent saying we need bigger home crowds. For me not enough is done for walk on people to entice numbers. He is saying we need to get back in 20's! Happened 3 times last year? 1 was promotion and 1 was a fiver from memory? Worrying he is saying we need 5k extra a game Quote

Near £30 for adults pretty much every game. We aren’t gonna get 20k plus outside the Prem. Unfortunately, we are only 40 minutes away from Man U, Man City, Liverpool, Everton etc. For us to be 23rd, and having expensive tickets, it’s a bit ridiculous of a thing for him to say. Need to do what Bradford and Huddersfield have done, cheap tickets, 20k plus crowds, great atmospheres. And I don’t really believe the clubs finances are so dependent on tickets. Quote

radcliffe white Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 I very much doubt if it was £150 a season ticket we would get 20k Quote

And I don’t really believe the clubs finances are so dependent on tickets. We know even if the prices were reduced, the crowds wouldn't increase that much, so we would then just get less income than we currently have. I'm not sure why you don't believe the clubs finances are so dependant on tickets Quote
Sweep Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 I very much doubt if it was £150 a season ticket we would get 20k We know full well that we wouldn't get anywhere near 20K on, even if it was £150 a season ticket, so reducing ticket prices isn't the answer - I'm not sure what is, but it's more than just the ticket pricing why we have low crowds Quote
tomski Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 I agree we have to reinvent ourselves as such like huddersfield or Bradford but I'm not sure a similar approach will work. When we have £15 tickets I'm not even sure we get an extra 500 on. Never seems to go up. The only time it does is if we do a fiver a game which isn't gonna be sustainable. It may work but could take years. I think we didn't do enough to push ST holders in the summer. The club did nothing extra. Not even money but drives, flyers, competitions. It's biting us on the bum now Quote

Have held up fairly well. When you compare around. We need new match goers. The lapsed aren't coming back. Not a knock at anyone by the way, folk can do as they please Quote

Before our shit form this season, we were averaging 17/18k. With big away crowds in the Champ, 20k is very achievable. If we started performing better and reduced the prices, it’s certainly possible. Carlos Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 It's 15 quid tomorrow, so there will be loads on, according the the drop the price crew. I'm not convinced myself. Quote
Lostock Whites Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Compare our attendances from last year in League 1 to other local teams. Bolton- 15k Wigan- 9k Blackburn- 10k Preston- 12k Burnley- 20k Just goes to show how well our attendances have held up, despite not cheap tickets, and our worst position in 23 years. 20k certainly possible but would require a change in form and ticket prices. Eavesy Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Any ‘floater fans’ who watched us on Friday won’t be coming on Tuesday Quote

Agree with our attendances but no chance on 20k more regular. I'd be amazed if we get 200 more tomorrow Quote
radcliffe white Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Isn’t there just a ceiling and we have hit it at this level Some clubs have good Home crowds regardless of the division I really don’t think there’s much more that can be done tbh Quote
