Lostock Whites Posted April 29, 2018 Author Posted April 29, 2018 (edited) My worry now, is that when we do go down, we will keep Parky because he’s the Mourinho of League 1 Honestly don’t think I can’t take another years of this 1 dimensional, and frankly non-league style of football. I get that it’s resutls business, but we are all playing money for this club, and by god the football has been atrocious. It’s hardly getting fans off the their seats and attracting big crowds to come back is it. I think our fans genuinely clap the team after 5 successful passes, it’s gotten that bad. As much as we’d all like to see an attacking line up, it’s bonkers that the chairman is talking in that way and about the team tactics It screams problems within the club Quote
barrycowdrill Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 Don’t know if I’m reading between the lines more in hope than what Ken is actually trying to say but it’s shit or bust for the team In terms of relegation obviously but more so PP and his future Quote
Guest Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 Picking a team to win in a must win game? Bit obvious to me. Quote
Lostock Whites Posted April 29, 2018 Author Posted April 29, 2018 He’s the most negative manager. Even if we summon the gods and score a goal before they do, we will hide in our half for the rest of the game. Quote

That's the worry, all well and good picking an attacking side, but as in all games this season where we've gone ahead, it's backs to the wall instead of going for the jugular, all too familiar and predictable. tomski Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 We need the team to turn up never mind the supporters!Bang on. Tiresome these call to arms Quote
birch-chorley Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 Just sack him rather than this hybrid forcing his hand into picking a more attacking line up Best thing all round Quote
barrycowdrill Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 With that message ringing in his ears let’s see what the line up is and how he perceives “attacking” to look Will tell us what we probably already know but will confirm whether he has a single idea about anything other than what we’ve had from him for 2 years Quote

barrycowdrill Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 It probably means; “play players I’ve brought in especially”, like Clough Clough is ineligible isn’t he? And the others, there isn’t a match fit player between them Quote

Eddie Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 Was Little injured yesterday? He answered a tweet a few weeks ago saying that he hadn’t been injured all season. I think this is one of Parkys biggest issues, he seems to freeze players out from nowhere. Little was pretty much player of the season until he got that red at Wolves - he’s hardly been seen since but then brought in for a game out of the blue, then again missed out the squad for a number of games after. You can add Karacan, Vela, Robinson to an extent, ALF earlier in the season, Noone, Burke, Wheater, Clough and a few others too. There’s always 1 or 2 players that aren’t too happy with the manager because they’re not playing, but I think he’s fallen out with quite a few of them as they get dropped for weeks on end whilst others (Beevers, Taylor, Pratley, Buckley etc) are there week after week, no matter how shit they are. It’s like the United board saying publically ‘we’ve had a chat with Jose and I’m sure we will play more like City next season’. It’s disrespectful. Ken if he’s not happy with Parky’s choices has the power to make a change. Quote
Guest Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 He’s obviously trying to shame him into resigning Quote
birch-chorley Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 Clough didnt even make the bench yesterday Even if you think he isn’t championship level, he certainly cuts it at league 1, that Burton team are League 1 standard Clough has 20 goals in 60 games for us and he doesn’t even make the bench. Instead we go with Wilbraham who is neither a target man or goal threat Bizarre Quote

Yes I don’t condone a chairman coming out and commenting on things like that and it should’ve been done in Private if he felt enough was enough and how we played had to change After yesterday’s atmosphere from the fans to the players and staff it’s more of a ‘I’m on your side’ statement You can’t beg people to turn out and back the team yet expect them to witness any more of that Quote

If it’s also true that Wheater isn’t being played so that he doesn’t get an appearance bonus, which he has every right to expect to receive considering he’s played all season until the last few, then I’m convinced there a few influential players in the dressing room that are pissed off with the manager/owner. If he was he’d have made sure we had suitable quality in the squad. And we patently don’t. I don’t mind the job Ken has done. But he definitely is a master of always shifting the blame elsewhere. First he blamed the players publically. That backfired. Now he’s on the manager. Quote

Well there are clear divisions across every level at the moment. Players pissed off with the chairman, he’s pissed off with the manager, he’s pissed off with both Whether that has materialised due to contract discussions, calling out in the media, not being played it all combines in to this complete mess we are now in All the other clubs around us seem to have some cohesion and want to fight for their survival. No one at our club does So for all the words and will in the world were a sinking ship. Again Quote
