barrycowdrill Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 I’ll plat shit if he doesn’t start Ameobi. Ignoring the fact that there’s been about 4 pieces of magic from our game changer and a few decent full game performances all season, also ignoring he’s done nothing of any note since his winner v Bristol city, with Pratley assumingly being one of the defensive 2, Alnwick will have no one to punt the ball 80 yards to Quote
Moon boy Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 Sunderland will have full parachute money next season Dependant on who is still on a big contract whilst not playing (Roswell etc), they should have the biggest budget to go at by far in league 1 On paper they walk it, 100+ points Exactly, £34mill parachute payment next season for Sunderland that’s one promotion place gone! Does anybody think we could claim one Quote
Moon boy Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 Morais for ameobi Other than that, why the fcuk not Probably our best team on paper but looks like quite a few of those players don’t want to play for Parky again, Vela, Wheater,Little,I’d have Morais instead of Noone Quote
Guest Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 I read somewhere today that the new owner is worth £8m Jack Rodwell probably isn’t far behind and apparently his contract goes down significantly....to just £44k per week next season You sure they have money? Even if they don’t have money their crowds will give them the biggest budget in that league. They will go down with some decent players too. Like we did last time. Decent for that level at least. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 Even if they don’t have money their crowds will give them the biggest budget in that league. They will go down with some decent players too. Like we did last time. Decent for that level at least. They’ll need big budget to cover the big contracts. Quote
Guest Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 They’ll need big budget to cover the big contracts. They will offload some and the parachute will cover the rest. They are a mess. But I’d rather be in their position than ours. Quote
RUREADY2ROLL Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 Morais for ameobi Other than that, why the fcuk not Morais for Vela and Ameobi playing off ALF Most of the first half yesterday Ameobi ran his socks off after Taylor lost every tackle - plus he can turn a game Quote
Whites man Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 They will offload some and the parachute will cover the rest. They are a mess. But I’d rather be in their position than ours. Eh? Who will take their collection of failures on Premier League wages off their hands? And why didn't they take ours of us? Quote

Mounts Kipper Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 They will offload some and the parachute will cover the rest. They are a mess. But I’d rather be in their position than ours. I’m not sure Sunderland fans would agree with your assesment. Quote
Guest Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 I’m not sure Sunderland fans would agree with your assesment. Not now. But that league is shite. We’ve seen it. I will be surprised if they don’t walk it. Unless their new owners are clueless and appoint a poor manager. But the fact they’ve potted the fraud Coleman already suggests to me they aren’t clueless entirely. Quote
Big E Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 You don’t go from relegation fodder to winning the league just by dropping down. There is something seriously wrong at Sunderland. I think they will struggle Quote
birch-chorley Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 I’d say we were worse 2 years back and we got automatic promotion League 1 really is very poor standard They will be able to bring the best players in of anyone at that level, as long as they appoint the right manager they should breeze through Quote
Morizio Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 We have a case of the other mans grass is greener here. Sunderland have gone down because they are shit. Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 Nothing to say the new owner(s) aren’t going to jack it in within a few weeks, and it’ll be a big ask for any new manager to go there. Quote

I think they will struggle We went from relegation fodder, worse than Sunderland are now, to second. So I don't see why not... Quote
Big E Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 Sunderland’s record is far worse than ours was Quote
birch-chorley Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 Only saying it’s greener as they will be turning over £50m - £60m next year Last season we were working off £15m and had one of, if not the biggest budget in the league We were also under embargo, up in the high court, saddled with debt. Sunderland don’t have any of that after the deal that was done recently We also finished on 30points when we went down, they are on 34 so you can argue that they are going down with a marginally better team than we had Gone are the days of relatively big clubs dropping down to League 1 then struggling. Blackburn and Wigan have stormed it this year, we came straight back last time, Wolves and Bristol before that walked the thing Sunderland should be done by Easter next season Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 Not sure ken should be washing his grundies in public; though I suppose it's possible that they've had a full exchange of views and afterwards ken has said "I'll put out a statement saying we'll play an attacking line up" to PP. Forewarning him so to speak. An attempt to rally fans. Whatever the situation the human Van den Graaff generator has brought it on himself; so negative. Quote

MalcolmW Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 Sunderland should be done by Easter next season but Easter Sunday is 21st April next year. Quote
Guest Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 (edited) but Easter Sunday is 21st April next year. Great news; my Birthday is on a bank holiday! Edited April 30, 2018 by boltondiver Quote
Morizio Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 Whereas Bolton are second from bottom because...? Because this season we are less shit than Sunderland. What’s the point in worrying about next season? This one hasn’t even finished. Quote
Ani Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 Morais for ameobi Other than that, why the fcuk not Morais was amongst the worst on Saturday which was an achievement Quote
