One of Shortland's lines:

"The owner and his son's relationship with the fans is descending into Oystonesque acrimony. This club is very much on the critical list."

Both parts of this are false. He's a liar. Blocked.

Not really familiarised myself too much with all this, however if this true and reflective of his beliefs; then I hope ken and the club do look to take some sort of legal action.

What a bell end of a thing to say.

To him and the other 5 it may feel like that. Most I know seem happy. All very strange

Aye not met anyone in the real world who has anything overly negative to say about Ken & Co.

They tend to only dwell in the faceless land of the interwebs

I believe that he also posts under the name of Suffolk White (note NOT Super White Smurf, who is a different person) who posts on the Bolton News comments section.

Both Suffolk and Smurf are long time anti-Andersons.

Sorry, I've now corrected my post above as I typed in error my 'Suffolk' and 'Smurf's' in the wrong places.

The real reason for posting though is that Iles is reporting Anderson is seeking fresh investment of £30 million...

...and that in the comments section Smurf is accusing Casino of stalking and trolling him!

Why oh why did I feel the urge to look at the comments section. I’m sure half the contributors are on day release from the asylum

At least there were plenty of positive ones on there for a change. The tin foil hat brigade will always be about somewhere sadly

Short memories

This last week has been a right kick in the balls but hopefully it's just us fans losing our heads

I'm not sure the week was a kick in the balls. I really wasn't expecting much at either Leeds or Derby given the way our away form has been this season but to lose at home to one of our survival rivals was a catastrophe.

Did I just type "survival rival??? "

Correct. IF we do go down it will be the home games against Burton and Birmingham that will have done us.

And the start to the season. Even 6 points from our first 12, would have us now on 43. One win away only and probably going to be ok.

Lot to agree with there

Not least put things in the past and realise we are still where we would all have taken in august

Not sure anyone would complain about our position; for me it's about the spectacle of going to the game; enjoying it, the atmosphere, excitement and entertainment. Maybe I'm just getting older but I can't remember time when it was worse. Even in the fourth division it was just more enjoyable.

It's just dour tedium now, I know a lot of superfans will go come what may; but if ken is to get his wish of bigger crowds then it will need to improve.

Winning football is entertaining football.

It's not the tactics that are the issue it's the player seem to be shit at said tactics.

So parky needs to change them.

Playing the way parky has us at the moment would be great if it was working as it was last season.

That's exactly where we were under Allardyce. As the world and its pundits bemoaned our long-ball style, we celebrated getting under the noses of some great opponents with exactly that style. As an entertainment method, I'd rather be walking home from a dour 1-0 win than a pulsating 3-4 classic where the opposition grabbed a 97th minute winner. It's what being a partisan supporter is all about.

If I wanted entertaining I'd go and spend my money at the theatre.

i loved the 0-0 at norwich

ive loved the hanging on for grim death wins at home

football is not an entertainment business

its all about points

if we are stuck in mid table going nowhere then id want some 'entertainment'

til then, lts just get a point or three
