For much of last season the football was poor. Papered over some of the cracks with centre halves scoring shit loads.

I agree that winning football tends to be entertaining as generally things are going well.

I've said before if PP wants to go long thenow fine; but go for it properly with on or two big guys up top and one or two who can sniff a goal out supporting them.

We don't even do direct football well.

He needs the options to be able to do that. He’s currently got a fox in the box type up front and nothing else. Clough might as well not be here as he looks a shadow of his former self. Ameobi doesn’t score goals. Vela looks well short of this level of football. Wilbraham is ancient. Obasi injured. Who are his big lads and two who can sniff out goals? The players don’t exist.

How many minutes has clough played? How much has he played at forest?

 

Bringing him on when we're losing, twatting it up in the air is really going to get the best of him.

haven't seen enough of Clough to form an opinion. Heard today that Clough didn't want to come back and play for parkinson and even more so now he's not even playing.

All these rumours. The Lad looked chuffed to bits to be back. Sadly he doesn’t fit the style of play so it was a very odd signing.

Clough loves the club but I think he realises he would never fit in with parkys style of play

I'd like more entertainment but for this season I agree with you. I've loved the backs to the wall feck you draws and wins we've managed. We stay up and it's been a great season for me

I play snooker tuesday nights got away with it last week due to an away match on Wendesday but no such luck this week. I have picked Snooker thats where im at in the which will be more entertaining and enjoyable stakes im afraid.

One of the resolutions is "To re-appoint Ken Anderson as a director of the Company!!

 

Nothing at all unusual about this.

 

Company Boards of Directors are appointed by their shareholder.

 

Anderson owns 95% of the shares so even if every other shareholder votes against him they can only muster 5% of the total votes.

 

This is just a required procedural step to reappoint the Board of Directors at the AGM.

 

(In fact as Burnden Leisure is not a public listed company, there is no need to even have an AGM - that's why we've not heard about any over the last few years.  I guess Mr Anderson is deliberately holding a public AGM this time as a signal that he has nothing to hide, to anyone looking to possibly buy or invest in the club).

 

 

As for the ST, their accounts for the year up to 31 July, 2017, should have been filed at the Financial Conduct Authority's, Mutuals Public Register, this week - they aren't shown as being filed currently.
