Half the debts? I thought our debt was well below 20M now? And even some of that is to ED/BW and could probably be negotiated.

Thought ken wanted £25m

Ed will want his £15m (unless that’s tied in with Ken’s asking price)

We still owe blu marble, warbys and currently run at massive loss per month.

And there’s still not enough money in the pot to cover wages which Eddie is stumping up for.

Our loss was 3M a year. I mean sure there are things to cover but they come to by my rough maths less than £20M. Not great, but a hell of a lot better than before.

Plus with the contracts up, I imagine we might even be breaking even.

Its not a cheap do, for sure, and I suspect any investment will drag on to the point next season might be very frustrating. But I think we are credible now as a club someone could invest in. We haven't been for a long time so it is some serious progress.

however, KA (and its not necessarily true) says we should break even due to the madine sale

just making the point that in guessing the debt, we got a few million quid windfall

and the killers and little mix each bring in 5 million

lets get nasri

I'd guess that we'll be closer to clearing £250K than £5M from them gigs

Unless Little Mix are getting a few rooms and giving punters a shag for £50 (£35 for Season Ticket holders)

can you get the £10 community tickets for this?

Surely if Barnsley and Wigan can find investors, then we are a bigger more attractive proposition then either of them.

As anyone thought that maybe potential investors aren't overly impressed that half our assets are tied up with a pointless ACV?

Would you say that Bolton are finally a stable team to invest/manage, for the first time in years?

I mean, I know we’ve got 20+ players out of contract and other stuff.

But I fell like now after majority of the debt being wiped, getting back in the Championship, no longer under a transfer embargo, and stayed within the Championship for next season.

Is now a better time than ever, to invest into Bolton wanderers?

Either way, I think there’s exciting times for this club ahead.

from an investment perspective we are probably as credible as we have been for the last 10 years at least? Yes in the Prem the income was far higher and global awareness of the club was greater but we always carried debt (granted to ED)

If the sale of GM has in fact brought us to breaking even this season & the outstanding debts are structured and manageable then yes i would say its possibly the best of times to invest.

As i said before though i just hope there is now transparency in all of our dealings to not put potential investors off. its been well publicised what KA unearthed when he came in. that needs avoiding moving forward

Pointless to you as you never enter the stadium to watch a game while the rest of us do. And if that put off an investor would not want them near the football club anyway as I would be questioning their motives.  Would you ask a question if someone said bend over, drop your pants and touch your toes.

Haha!

I thought you couldn't resist.

Wigan doesn't have an ACV on their ground -

Neither does Barnsley -

Do you think their supporters...

a ) Believe they are going to be totally shafted by their new/potential owners, or

b ) Are looking excitedly to the future?

Had you even heard about an ACV before the ST said it was such a wonderful thing?

And if it is such a wonderful thing, then why isn't the an ACV on all football grounds after all the years that they have been available?

You seem like a good bloke Mounts (even though you continue to petulantly throw the odd insult my way) but you are totally deluded (and overtly foolish in your blind unquestioning defence of them) when it comes to the clubs current ST and Board.

I just feel like, with all the turnarounds off the pitch, as well as our well documented success, both from the 1st teams dramatic survival.

And also the direction and success of our u23s and youth academy.

Surely we’ve got to be getting some investment in, as I really believe there is a potential there, for the club, from an outside, investment perspective.

Then you could also add the use of the ground, in terms of still state of the art facilities, and multi-use, for concerts and boxing, hotel etc.

This club is not perfect, but for me, investors have surely got to be thinking, that there is huge potential in us. And hopefully we will get the right investment.

How many Championship clubs actually make a profit?

I don’t know, but 18 did in the Prem last year

thats the goal isnt it. invest in a championship club for far less money, get them up, sustain it and reap the rewards.

Wigan are owned by a fan of the club as were Barnsley we’ve a bloke (who’s worked wonders) who isn’t a BWFC fan whose sole interest in BWFC is to make himself a profit, do you think it’s common sense to allow him free reign? Many proper football clubs have an ACV even Man U it has not stopped them from being sold or raising finance. The fact of the matter is that you have some issue against trust board members so cannot get over the fact that they have done some good whether you like it or not. I on the other hand can see good and bad on the trust and KA part, im impartial you are one eyed. I’ll leave it at that. Edited by Mounts Kipper

My understanding is that we haven't even started to pay off Holdworth's Quick Quid loan yet, but that ED's "debt" is a completely different thing that is only designed to stop asset strippers moving in.

This was the teasers key info. The question is would Ken settle all debts from the 25 million? That would leave him with nice profit and I’m thinking Eddie will wave most if not all off the 15 million he left on the books.
