Do you really think that ?

I originally thought when he turned up at court as a prospective buyer of the club that it was all a show to avoid the judge ordering the club be wound up to get us to the end of the season and he was KA's stooge

The longer he has been around I find it hard to believe its all an act on behalf of KA

You may be right - we may never know

To clarify slightly, I think he first appeared to extend the winding up period as long as it could for Ken to put pressure on everybody else to cut some sort of a deal as he must have known the hotel wasn't worth the best part of £10m, if he wanted to be certain to get his £5m out from Admin.

Clearly Bassini had no idea about the financial position of the club - he said as much himself - so obviously not a genuine purchaser, nor had he any money of his own, when he first appeared on the scene.

When the club was put into Administration Bassini didn't even make a valid offer - the Administrator told us that - so it seems ridiculous to me that Nixon was spouting how he could go on to buy the club off the back of buying the hotel.

The clubs Administrator has made it crystal clear that it was FV or liquidation, so if Bassini was in anyway serious he needed to join forces with FV, not look to be their competitor for the club.

I'm of the opinion that once the players arrear sorted with the PFA involvement, FV will announce the purchase of the club to its newco FVWL Football Limited and a CVA for the hotel, with FVWL being the holding company for the share ownership of the hotel.

The EFL will probably allow the game to go on if an announcement is made before the season starts, as it seems there have been behind the door friendly's being played and players lined up to sign for us.

I don't think there will be any penalties for the Brentford strike, nor if the Wycombe is suspended in the best interests of football - as the EFL would be in effect punishing the new owners for saving a club facing extinction - just my gut feeling rather than anything factual though.

Fuck it

Game on

There's obviously enough backbone from FV to keep us going.

I'll take that.

Yes exactly, positive indicator

Reet so let's say the process has been flawed from the start and there's no deal on the horizon

So administrators liquidate but as they have act as improperly what recourse Is there? It's not going to bring the club back but would EDT do them for doing a shit job?

If so why haven't they been all over this already, and don't take this the wrong way, but why hasn't someone higher up noticed?

No problem  - I dont take it the wrong way and you make a very good point

Its unlikely the administrator will liquidate - one way or another a deal has to be done - genuinely don't think ED trustees would let that happen if FV walked away

Whilst I am being critical of Michael Rubins ( Club administrator ) for accepting FVs offer , what we dont know is what had been agreed / discussed between them and Quantuma ( the Hotel administrator ) at the outset

Maybe Rubins thought once he had a buyer for the club it was a straightforward process to acquire the hotel .

And maybe ( for reasons we can only guess at )  things changed ......... and the hotel rocketed in value

In all professions - Law firms , accountancy practices and Insolvency firms you get those that play it straight and those that "sail close to the wind" if you follow and in this instance I would just refer you to the comment made by someone who works in Insolvency and is a Wanderers fan and most likely has contact with Rubins staff

JME 19742  ( on 25 July )  Tweeted

Let me say. When this is over Paul Appleton deserves huge credit from Bolton fans for saving our club in very difficult circumstances & despite best efforts to sabotage by some who should know better. He could have given up & lots would.

Interesting choice of words

Dont forget also those really close to whats going on are under NDAs and confidentiality agreements

The rest of us are just piecing it together from the information that is passed on that we share

Daft question probably, but who foots the admin bill which is probably fucking massive by now at £500 an hour or whatever it is

Not the best of starts by FV, going cap in hand for a loan to the PFA before they even own the club.

At least the Wycombe game goes ahead and we still have a club to support.

Aye, but in normal circus we would have banked st money by now

And possibly an EFL payment

Just guessing

And like I say, we will be selling some assets so its just a loan to buy time

I hope

FV don't own the club so can't pay the players. I may be wrong but I think the deal is no where near complete and the reason they've gone to the PFA is because they are the only ones who can pay the players thus meaning the game on Saturday goes ahead. Maybe the EFL pushed FV to the PFA. Only they know but I hope I am wrong and the deal is near completion and this was just to cover their arses with the EFL deadline

Don't think it would have been advanced If they had not got evidence that the deal was almost over the line

Think we might get some sort of statement tomorrow from either the administrator or FV

Wycombe here we come !!

Just seen a screenshot of Jeff Thomas resignation on Companies House

Nothing showing on Companies House records for FV (Whites) - but is for the subsidiary companies for the club and the Hotel.

Resignations shown as today.

I'm guessing the new investor bloke Keith Morris has/will now come on board with things looking like they've all now been resolved.

FVWL Football

FVWL Hotel

Nothing to worry about.

Jeff Thomas has resigned from both FVWL Football Limited and FVWL Hotel Limited.

Doesn't leave many left...

Does anyone know why they had 3 companies in the first place and not just the two? One for the hotel and one for football?

They’ve got the original Football Ventures whites, fvwl football & fvwl hotel.

Do they not just need one for hotel one for football? Where does the third come in?

Sorry if that’s a stupid question.
