I think quite a few of us are becoming uncertain at the moment, and I have always had every confidence a deal would be done, but each day that passes it seems more unlikely to me - and I know its not as simple as buying a pint of milk

From Wycombe's point of view their sale of match tickets & season tickets must be suffering too. OK most will have already committed to s S/T by now but unlikely they will sell any more with no guarantee of 23 games.

I think if a game gets cancelled in mid season you just go with the flow, but the 1st game can make a difference for the undecideds. Plenty of folk already know which games they're unable to attend in the season & adding the 1st game to the list won't help. Not that we care about that for now.

I’m now in. If the worst comes to the worst etc. I’ll spend the day in London with the very lucky lady who became my wife (she knows nothing at all about this site)

Its the wierdest feeling for me not knowing if we are taking part in this season.  For the last 40 years I've counted down the days to the first league game of the season.  I've embraced not only our preparations for the season, but other clubs too.  And I would be preparing my anti post bets, trying to guess who'd be in the promotion and relegation mix (apart from the Prem, which is too predictable so the odds are none existent), and keeping half an eye on pre-season results and transfers.  Not so this year,  I cant bring myself to bother with all the usual build up and transfer speculation.  Its like the season isnt happening, I'm even finding other things to occupy my mind, just to avoid the truth.  Until Marc Iles tells me otherwise, the season might as well not be happening.

Imagine being the Wycombe scout who has to provide the pre match briefing on the likely Wanderers lineup.  Maybe 5 names surrounded by a load of question marks...

Big thick centre half whacks it as far up the pitch as possible to a bigger, thicker centre forward, who will be positioned at least 30 yrds from nearest 5 midfielders....repeat as necessary.

There are worse 7/1 shouts I think.

Wycombe were 17th last year, and our team will probably wind up being similar to the one that thumped Walsall in the cup last year.

Olkowski, Beevers, Noone, Wildschut, Vela played against Walsall.  Maybe Murphy, Lowe, Magennis will play from the Walsall game (Buckley was 2nd half sub).  Noone had a stormer in 2nd half didnt he. MOM 2nd half performance.  Anyway if we play and its 7/1 I'll have a bit of that, I'd take any team in bottom 2 divisions to win away at 7/1.

With the optimistic head on, we are 12 points off play offs with 46 games to go.  So that's a point every 4 games we need to catch up.  If we lost at Wycombe, its 15 points off 45 games.  1 in 3, massive difference.  Make or break game on Sat for our play off hopes!

Yep if we even make the game. What odds on that? Players not been paid, young lads wont be allowed (even if they wanted to), Football Ventures about to be Football Vultures. Less than a week to go, no pre season, no tickets on sale,the last six players  we have refusing to play, last couple of decent ones desperate to get out, best of kids being picked off, hotel split from club, manager and whole staff unpaid for 20 weeks. 

And there are still those who think this is all going to be sorted in 5 days?

It's hard to imagine the Players being physically ready to give 100% let alone mentally if we go in to that game with the few First Team players still not having been paid for twenty weeks. Mind you, I thought we would get thrashed at WBA last season on the first day so you never know.

It is massive , the biggest for years. BWFC fans should fill the ground .

Who ever puts the shirts on  hopefully will respond give 150% . 

This time next week on -9 points.
