I’m surprised how much people care about these closures that sit lower tier

So you expect the upper tier folk who are being relocated will be happy ( some after 22 seasons of ST purchase) to just fill in the gaps where there aren't currently tickets sold?

I think they'll expect to be placed as high up the stadium as is available to them. That'll be row z of the lower tiers. Problem is, folk already sit in those rows.

Or maybe you don't think having a few thousand upper tier supporters squeezed into the lower tiers will impact on those of us already there.

You know where I used to sit for many years. What happens if the club offers my old seats to the new folk coming down from above? Would I be right to kick off, claiming I ought to have first refusal? Because I think I would be.

I think you’ve read my post wrong. There is a lot of opinion on which stand should close? Then whether we should shut 1/2/3

It has been said it doesn’t cost much to open them before so I can’t understand why anyone is passionate about closing them.

The atmosphere will be better if we are winning more than we lose or they make ST’s ridiculously cheap like Bradford. Closing a section of the ground will do naff all.

That old section we sat in is the first place I’d want to go to if they offer us. I doubt it will happen as we tried this year to do so. Also it’s a couple hundred seats and won’t be a complete solution.

I think lots will sack it off whether we think it’s right or wrong?

I have it on good authority that us Toffs from upstairs will have a "secure" tartan blanket and flask area cordoned off if we are forced to sit with the lower tier riff raff.

The only reason to close upper tiers is financial. If that is not the case keep them open. Have sat in upper tiers twice and did not like it. But people who sit there clearly do.
Atmosphere comes when we play well nothing else. We are getting over 10k home tickets sold per game we will lose plenty next year and even more if we fuck fans off.

Quite the opposite. As I've stated already, it will impact all the lower tiered fans so they rightly ought to have a voice but I don't think they want anything shutting ad long as it's for the benefit of the club.

If, as has been assumed, the closing leads to many fans deciding not to renew then I agree, keep them open but don't forget to tell those making that threat that they are cunts.

I’ve already told the club if they close them then I ain’t renewing.

I take it you’re calling me a cunt?

I don't go in the upper tiers - well I don't go in the lower tiers also but understand its a revenue decision if the close them.

Next season I will be doing some home games because I am back in Worcester and a bit nearer to get to the games; London would have been a costly day out.

Could they not open a small section of the uppers to both increase atmosphere there and reduce the number of staff needed to support the reduced space?

Your not a cunt but you need to renew regardless

And I'm one of them. Right in the NS/WS corner.

I've been ESU for about 15 years now and didn't renew this year but still been getting my old season ticket most games.

Went in ESL towards the north stand for Tranmere game(free ticket off Whites Man).

I enjoyed actually being able to see players faces and numbers on back of shirts, had team and formation worked out in no time, as I'm blind as as a bat. Not much atmosphere and didn't feel like singing due to that, but reckon I could change that if I get that seat again.

Missed the old season ticket up in the upper though, easy to nip the loo after having a few scoops beforehand.

So you're just using this as your get out clause to stop going?

Stop being a dick.

It makes a different as people like the view.

Again why should someone who has paid more for EVERY season ticket now have to fill in spaces. folk wouldn't like losing their seat in the lower tiers but are happy for folk upstairs to be moved.

A lottery for the tickets maybe with all tickets being the same price. pot luck where you sit. that would be fair.

Maybe there's something in that. It's a line in the sand job. Like a pillock, I want to give the robbing bastards another £400 next season. They're the ones making this difficult.

Same seat for over 20 years, 80 mile round trip every game.

If they can treat me and others in a similar boat like that, then I'll pick and choose my games in future.

Which in reality will mean I'll miss more than I'll attend.

I imagine I won't be the only one, cunt that I am

A lot have stopped going already.

If you ran a man in a van type of business had a regular customer who gave you work every Thursday would you tell him he had to move to Friday unless there were significant commercial reasons ?

If there are real commercial for doing this not sure they have been explained but with a product that has dropped dramatically in quality, not reduced in price why fuck off loyal customers ? My season ticket is awful value for the entertainment/enjoyment over last 3-4 seasons if they moved me doubt I would renew. I sit with people I used to stand with at Burnden with a few Yoof coming in and sadly a few seniors leaving us. My step son sits in my dads old seat since he died so being moved to a random other place would not be the same.

Ok, will you give up your seat and go and sit on the front row, in the corner, to accommodate people being shifted from the upper tier

Don't even get why there is a debate about this. The atmosphere will improve when the team starts playing well, that's what Keith should be striving for to get the stadium full & FV should bring in more incentives for that to happen, not have a cop out. When we are playing well we will get a decent crowd in no matter what division we are in.
