If that is the case - what possible reason is there for not selling tickets yet? I can understand the intention being for the game to be on - but if it was on and there was no reason otherwise - tickets would have been sold by now. Quote

And with respect if your contact doesn't have that info then I don't think he can be sure the game will be played. I am sure the message is "definitely on" - but that can change at anytime. You can't say "game off" then go the other way though. The people who know why tickets aren't on sale are the only ones I'd say can give a cast iron guarantee. Quote

SatanGreavsie Posted August 8, 2019 Posted August 8, 2019 I'm quite sure the game "will happen". Just not so sure that it'll be on Saturday... Quote

MickyD Posted August 8, 2019 Posted August 8, 2019 Tickets will be announced as on sale Saturday followed by a further update stating that GMP insist on no ticket sales on the day of the game. Quote

farnworth white Posted August 8, 2019 Posted August 8, 2019 33 Conduct of Matches 33.1 Behind closed doors. Save with the consent of The League or as a consequence of any disciplinary or regulatory proceedings, no Club may play any League or Cup Match behind closed doors so that the public are excluded from the ground. Cheers. Seems the game can be played behind closed doors then, just needs the efl to permit it. May well be the sensible way forward. Quote

Indeed. I'm not doubting you. But these are the same admin guys who said last Thursday "deal agreed be announced in the morning". If the game is on I'll be pleasantly surprised. If the takeover is done before it I will be bloody amazed, stunned and delighted. Quote

Benny The Ball Posted August 8, 2019 Posted August 8, 2019 5 minutes ago, Tommy Banks said: And still we wait Update from Coventry - just now Coventry City is still awaiting a ticketing update from Bolton Wanderers regarding Saturday’s game. We remain in regular contact with Bolton Wanderers and the EFL regarding Saturday. While there unfortunately remains no ticket update currently, we have been assured by Bolton that the game will go ahead. When we receive a ticketing update, we will let fans know as soon as possible. Dave Boddy, Coventry City Chief Executive, said: “We understand the predicament that Bolton as a club, their staff and most importantly their fans are currently in. “At the same time, we sympathise with the frustration of Sky Blues fans who want information for our first away game of the season and want to make plans to support the team at Bolton. “This situation is one which is out of our control, but we continue to ask for ticketing information from Bolton, and we will update our fans as soon as we are able to do so and share any information we get with them Quote
