Wanderlust Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 It's going to take time to get properly competitive Quote
DomRepWanderer Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Last battering of the season, our season starts in 2 weeks. Quote

Just glad to have a team to get a battering today. Quote
Johnnyrotten Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 This shows how far we've got to go to get competitive. We've got 5 players with Championship experience in the team and we're being overrun by a Div 1 team without a win yet. That's not a criticism, its a realisation that we probably only have 2 outfield players (Lowe and Hobbs) that are currently good enough for Div 1. Politic is probably going to be good enough, fingers crossed. But its clear we need 10 good Div 1 players to sign in September, not 4 or 5. Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Heard Luke Murphy mentioned once, and lowe maybe a couple of times. Are these first team seniors contributing enough or is it difficult with so many youngsters? Hobbs out of shape by the sounds of things, needs games, but the others? Quote
Farnywhite Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Hobbs was to slow last season never mind with another year on the clock . At least we don’t have another league game for 2 weeks gives us a bit of time to work with the new players when we get them in Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 We hit the bar, at least, could have had our first goal. Shame. Now for the rebuild. Quote
enzo gambaro Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Was half hoping for another goal just for a bit of a change. Bad times for the Zouma boys. Quote
jmjhb Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 At least we've found a bit of consistency with these 5-0s Quote
deane koontz Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 It says they had 30 shots. Were they taking shots from anywhere or were they just from run of the play? Quote
Okocha10 Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Unfortunately from the young lads can only see Politic being a first team regular. Great support again today we will get stronger each game now on Quote
Eavesy Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Really disappointed with the contribution of the senior lads. Had high hopes for Murphy and Lowe but not seen much so far. Especially as they are centre midfield and can have a big contribution. Quote
L/H White Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Put the best 2 midfielders in the world around 9 young lads and they'd been like a rabbit in headlights to Quote
