Right now pretty much every town in the country has sports halls that are sat empty and unused. No indoor sport allowed. Surely they would be the ideal venue for rolling this out? Big enough to make social distancing easy. Generally they have various sets of doors that could be opened to give some ventilation. And they generally have decent parking on site.

What’s the most deaths in a day?

Highest was 980 (Apr 9th).

Highest now is 981 (Dec 29th).

In September (13 weeks ago) we were on single figures per day.......

Not according to the official figures.....

Edit>

Winter has only started in the last few weeks, It's been very mild.

We've been averaging over 3100 deaths per week since 1st week in November...

This is what should be getting shared on social media. The majority of clips I’ve seen today are about that flat dick who was arrested in Gloucester first filming an empty hospital

Let's not fuck it up now

Those figures aren't the official ones (Gov.uk) that are published every day by the BBC which is where I got my data from

Covid-19 in the UK: How many coronavirus cases are there in your area? - BBC News

Another site that tallys with these is

Coronavirus Update (Live): 83,591,125 Cases and 1,821,235 Deaths from COVID-19 Virus Pandemic - Worldometer (worldometers.info)

I was mocked on here not long ago when I said we'd hit 1,000 dead in early January.

I reckon he's right.

Lots of selfish cunts out there that don't give a fuck......

We’d hit more than 1000 dead in April.

I suppose it depends on whose figures you believe.

Your second link has several days in April with deaths over 1000.

Not looked at the first.

What now?

Friend of a friend had suspected cancer in march but cos of covid it all got put on hold.

Finally got in end of Nov; results came back mid December that it was cancer and it had spread but would start chemo etc. He went for an MRI weds...they called him first thing Thursday morning saying you need to come for emergency chemo in preston now & they've given him 3 weeks to live.

He’s only 46 and has two children in year 7 and 8.

I said ages ago there would be loads of this as per Prof Sikora’s protests and was put down by Peely etc who said he had skin in the game...

I fear that there’s going to be so much of this over the next few months / couple of years...they’re more a victim of covid than many that have died “with covid”.

Heart breaking and frustrating as hell

That’s heartbreaking

That’s shit, as much for the kids as it is for your mate. One thing though, when they say come in for emergency chemotherapy and mention 3 weeks to live is that emergency chemo OR only 3 weeks to live or does he have 3 week’s irrespective of any treatment?

Either way, sorry to hear of your mate of a mate’s condition.
