We obviously view it differently then. I don't think any of the criticism equates to criticism of the people at the sharp end.

Its definitely not a criticism of the private sector

Its how/why the companies are chosen

I've mentioned before, my BiL is an area sales manager for one of the large pub chains - he's currently on this daft flex-furlough thing. Anyway, he's been told to expect to be on that until into May, possibly June (he questioned it as the Furlough scheme finishes in April, but he's been told it will most likely be extended). Sadly for him, he's not sure by then if he'll have much of a job to go back to, as many of the pubs he looks after won't re-open

He did tell me last week that he had to go into work to hand the keys to somebody who was just taking a pub on.....what a mad man, who would do that in the current climate. My BiL reckons the new tenant will be handing the pub back by Christmas, having spunked all their pension into running a pub that isn't allowed to serve customers

The stockmarket has listened to Patels comments yesterday.

Airlines and travel have been battered today.

When the markets listen then so do i.

There will be very limited non UK holidays until the Autumn IMO.

No, its both.

Categorically.

I've watched live, not selected interviewees on news bulletins.

You can watch it yourself if you want full evidence.

Just had to drive to Leeds on essential business.

Great to get out and about.

Lost a work colleague to this today , not particularly close or anything but a good bloke and a stark reminder that it’s real and dangerous.

Bigger fines plus prison sentences may be in order

Are we sure that they are Orthodox Jews?

Superb.

I’m clinging onto this daily figure now, it’s our way out.

Dont like the lockdown one but but if this is the last one, keep it until we’re absolutely certain it’s worked.

It's how the Beeb reported it on the lunchtime news.  They were asking whether there was some odd practice or belief that meant orthodox Jews wouldn't abide by the rules.

New variant has a higher mortality rate.
