That was one of the loveliest things to ever happen. Stood in my garden sobbing like a baby! Proud to work for the NHS 👏👏👏👏❤️

Anyway.

I suspect this disease is about to rip London a new arse.

It can be the only explanation for all this.

The virus has turned our country socialist.

No other choice mind.

Interim socialist I hope!

Whilst they have no choice I’d ask given we’ve been told that spending a fraction of this level would destroy the country for ever it will be interesting to see what happens here. It will change expectations for ever.

I bet Twitter and Faceache are a site to behold right now.

I think that it will be interesting, perhaps balanced by the rest of the world being in the same boat*

Hope they don’t all start coming up here to get away from it all.

Anyway I ordered a North Face walking jacket for my wife online. They actually sent a South Face walking jacket.

She wasn’t happy. Send the bugger back she said. It’s not the one I ordered, send the bugger back.

Still not closing the tube etc. Understand his point, though perhaps some services just for NHS staff etc?

Perhaps the new 80% payment of wages will allow some to take less risk.

If these places are allowed to still do "takeaway" does that therefore mean pubs will just act as off licenses? Shout for a couple of pints at the door then fook off home.

As grim as it comes across, what will be put on the death certificate for those who also have under lying health issues? Any ideas?

Were either; or both already suffering from underlying health issues?

I have, up to now, treated this phrase as, "They were going to die anyway but the virus may have sped things up a bit"

Shouldn’t you really be called Edinburgh Wanderer then?

Aye! I was living in London when I set up the account last year. Can't seem to change it though. Anyone know how?

This is brilliant 👏👏👏👏👏👏

Don't bother. I was in Tonge moor when I set mine up, and wearing a green fleece.

Not born there, nor ever lived there!

A lot of talk about preparing for eventualities recently. Perhaps the government could look at striking a few hundred thousand MBEs and such like for when this is over!

Things like statutory sick pay for example, our level is shocking compared to EU pre crisis. People probably didn’t even realise this. Suspect raising stuff like this will become essential rather than seen as excessive in future. A huge global economic realignment is coming.

Was talking to a lecturer economics earlier who said this will be end of Capitalism as we know it. Hard to disagree right now. Unless someone very quickly finds a solution.

Hang on.

This was put to the chancellor at the budget. His explanation was that we have access to NHS etc which other nations may do differently. The point being some things are free and therefore don't need covering in ssp.

Now I don't know how a lot of other places operate, so took his comments on face value.

Now if you know differently fair enough, but it seems a little disingenuous otherwise.

Capitalism thrives in a crisis for the people who are that way inclined.

Of course he knows better. He knows fucking everything and is never happy with anything. Cretin
