The Labour debt came from the 2008 global financial crisis

Let’s face facts, it’s exactly the same thing, I’m fine with this debt and I was fine with it in 2008 as it’s the right thing to do

Governments have to make radical decisions and have to live with the consequences, so I fully understand why they’ve made the call they have, my view is it’s not going to be anywhere near as bad as they are planning for.

Where's that Dunning-Kruger curve gone?

The Tories have turned socialist !

5 more years!

WOW just WOW

Incredible move

The right move

The economy was burning down, now it isn’t, fantastic effort

God knows what this ‘Tory’ debt will look like once all this has been chalked up

Don't forget we've got an extra £350m a week to spare

Went in a bar earlier to pick up some cans, the lad who owns it said he'd rather not but it's his livelihood, but if 100 People showed up tonight he'd feel a right cunt

Hahaha. Only time will tell.

On that note- I hope everyone on here is doing okay in these crazy times. I'm sure lots of us will be effected in may ways. We all have our differences but they can definitely be put on hold for now. I can't offer much. But as of Monday I will be working from home (for now) as the schools are closed. So if anyone is getting driven mad by their kids and their school hasn't given you much home learning then just PM me and I would be happy to send over some useful websites, ideas and resources. Pretty much all I can offer as I'm north of the border in Edinburgh. But anyone living up this way who is self-isolating and needs anything get in touch as well.

Stay safe everyone and keep your two metres. Unless you see any cunts panic buying.

No other option here, you either let the economy burn to the ground, looting in the streets etc

Or bail the whole thing out

It’s a confidence thing

It’s the right move

Now everyone start isolating so we can get through this

Totally different scenario though I take your point.

Shouldn’t you really be called Edinburgh Wanderer then?

Correct sir.

Labour would be taxing the loans at 95% by now 😂

In other news, a pub in Heapey/White Coppice is selling ale at half price tonight

Mounts is on his way as we speak 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺

End result is the same regardless of the cause. Stop arguing over semantics

Course the end result is the same, folk shouldn't come out with nonsense which only rightly needs correcting.
