So this isn’t new information?

Are you a health care professional?

No, but i've done infection control courses, and worked doing trauma and crime scene clearance.

I'm looking at the numbers as positives, how many new cases are there? That's were you can get an idea if we are on a downward spiral..

Won't cases go up as testing goes up

Not a good measure imo

The Scottish one yesterday, about a dozen of them asked the same question

Listen to the question, listen to the answer

Either ask a follow up or ask something new

Absolutely. Explained he didn't send Boris to hospital, then gets asked again about him sending Boris to hospital.

Oh and Peston seems desperate to ask the most pertinent question, but just makes an arse of himself.

Think they should email questions in, then the stupids ones can get put in the shredder

I'm also curious about these reporters wandering round parks saying how busy or otherwise they are. I know they can go to work, but do they need to add to the problem?

Boris is in hospital. He really doesn’t need to be running the country. There are enough people who can stand in. Let the man rest for a few days FFS. Give him some time off. End of the day we are all human beings and none of us would want the day job if we landed in hospital with this.

Aye it’s turning into point scoring

like grey said it’s not time for all that

and to me there’s no need for questions on the daily briefing

The idea that the media shouldn’t be critical or ask probing or difficult questions is ridiculous. The questions need asking. Sometimes people ask stupid questions, it’s the nature of it. But once you get to the point where the government can censure questions you slip further towards authoritarianism. Challenges and debate is what our democracy is built on. The government need scrutiny, even in an emergence. Especially in an emergency.

I think questioning is fair enough

Sometimes it could be to clarify something...remember the day the lockdown was announced. Loads didn't understand the message

I also have no issue with them getting grilled on PPE and testing

But to keep asking the same question is both pointless and embarrassing

PPE is fine it’s important and if they aren’t delivering grill away

but most questions today have been blatant tosh, they need to get firm and just say “ next question”

There’s something doing round about key workers being told to shower and wash before coming into contact and wash the clothes they’ve had on separately. The virus can live in your hair for 12 hours.

Can @bolton_blondie or @kent_white confirm or deny?

Not sure - but we should all be getting changed after work and washing kit and showering as soon as we get in.

Seeing nurses after a shift walking around ASDA in their uniform is manky as fuck!

I don't think anyone has a problem with the asking of questions, it's the questions that they are asking and how repetitive they are, and some reporters and journalists are trying to be clever but just end up looking stupid, Raab, Gove, Whitty etc must go out of that daily briefing and mutter FFS!

The cunt suggesting Boris "was taking up a hospital bed" needed a serious shoeing. Fucking huge one.
