Also if you get paid an annual salary and not for the hours you work do you get 80% of your annual salary per month capped at £2500? If you get paid more than £3125 a month, you're capped at £2500 Those on £2500 a month will get £2000
Moderators Casino Posted March 31, 2020 Moderators Share Posted March 31, 2020 Then you pay tax and ni But no fuel, so alls good for a few weeks at least
Traf
If you're on £3125 a month, take home pay is approx £2420 Furloughed at 80% means £2500 a month, which is £1995 take home. Furlough take home is 82.5% of normal take home. £425 a month worse off for not working, but no commuting, no unsociable hours, less outgoings (social etc) etc etc. Probably little in it. Moderators Casino Posted March 31, 2020 Moderators Share Posted March 31, 2020 They could ask you to take a pay cut But the government wont be paying it if the employers wants you to continue working during furlough

ErnestTurnip
There's been some discussion at ours this week about whether to top everyone up, although with us still running to a certain extent it does have it's own issues apart from money. So I'd be left with zero. Its such a generous deal, no seriously, it really is. Its all riding on this £10K grant that SME's are meant to receive. That will be the game changer for a small business like us.
Smiley
Now looking into being able to alternate the furlough between two of us in our business. Think it might be 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off. Waiting to find out.
