July 4, 20206 yr If there’s no spike in cases after this weekend, the virus has definitely lost its edge.

Had another propaganda video off virgin gym today showing the measures theyve taken to safeguard people. If theres no big jump in numbers after today then theres surely no reason to keep them closed

July 5, 20206 yr Did all my greene king gaffs yesterday ready for opening Monday. It doesn’t look as militant as I first thought, with most of em still having vaults/drinkers areas with one cash till with screens at that particular till. They are keeping the food bookings only, and drinkers have to go in designated areas. However if there’s no tables, you’ll have to go outside. It’ll work well in places with separate vaults. The Golden eagle my dad and brothers local is pretty much to to landladies discrretion who gets in. My local is an M&B gaff and they’ve kept the vaults area shut. There’s only 11 tables in the rest of the pub and they’re all booked up this weekend. This is where it’s wrong for me, there’s too much open to interpretation. Still says it’s all a load of complete bollocks and waste of time, money and effort.

Nothing beats an away day though. 2 minutes ago, radcliffewhite1 said: So anymore feedback from yesterday’s re openings @Steejay didn’t you go out? Do catch up, sir. Banging head but to be expected. 😁

July 5, 20206 yr Sounded busy but nothing too crazy in Nottingham. Although a bloke did jump fully clothed into the filthy canal to celebrate Forest beating Derby, he left the pub on 95 mins 😆

Likewise, seemed like a normal day but with extra staff waiting on. Came home and carried on, woke up at 2am on the settee, empty cans everywhere. ☹️

July 5, 20206 yr Went to the Tap in Astley Bridge. Signing in on entry and three well overworked barmen trying to do table service. Went to the Lord Clyde after and that was more relaxed but it's a bigger pub. Still signed in mind. Both were about as busy as I'd usually expect them to be on a Saturday.

Hope you wiped your feet on the way out of the Clyde? 😊
July 5, 20206 yr It all got a bit emotional apparently at the local sports club. Folk in at noon in a halfway decent state* were worse the wear a few hours later. Arguments over tv volume, tv channel, not being able to touch the tv etc etc. They mostly kept the social distancing rules that were in place till they decided wanted to take each others heads off. *think some places may have opened earlier?
