Carlisle (A)

I’m sure I saw a thread for the Boxing Day game already? Must be going mad.

Anyway, Evatt has confirmed that Tutte and Kioso are back, thank god. In my opinion we should be able to put out our current strongest 11.

I’d go with the usual back 3, Kioso back in at right wing back, move Jones back to the left, Tutte and Thomasson in centre mid and Sarcevic further forward behind Doyle and Delfounso.

Saying that, with how inconsistent we are we could play our best team and lose 4-0. If we can start quickly and get an early goal then a comfortable 2-0 win is my prediction - another kick start to the season!

End of the day, I'm sure we all agree a 3-3 away at Carlisle isn't s bad result. A fine comeback too.

Me and my boys are jumping round the house when that third goes in, proper celebration getting behind our side. No way you can do that if your hovering over your keyboard waiting to slag Evatt, Thomason, Baptiste, Fonz, formation, tactics off

Thomasson will make a player. Has vision, can pass a ball, not the quickest but does get around the pitch.

Been in the ground. Somehow managed to get tickets. Weather conditions atrocious. Weird to not hear our fans when we scored.

Did we look any better in the flesh?

Yes there’s things wrong, we are still very much work in progress.

But a good point away against possibly the best team in this division. Great spirit to get those 2 goals at the end.

No fucking chance. I’m sat in my lounge with nobody else to moan to / discuss what’s going on - it’s my only way to vent!

If you think that I’m going to wait until full time and not make a comment on anything until then then you’re mad.

It’s a good result in the end, but I stand by every comment I made in that first half - we got bullied and we never started, again. I still jumped off the couch when we equalised and nearly shouted the place down when Thomasson hit the post in injury time.

I think I know what really changed the game anyway, it was Greenidge coming on @jules_darby 👀

RUR2R made an observation that he was too slow.

I wouldn’t say that was “picking on him” as much as an observation.

Other posters have made comment about other players but nobody jumps to their defence.

A few have leapt on him today when he’s not even been a focal point

they’ve also said he’s non-league. That’s more than an observation and is barely giving him chance

still got same opinion of Thomasson Micky??

Above is the thread since RUR2R first had a go at Thomason. Nowhere have I had an opinion on him. I defended RUR2R’s right to an opinion and I asked if being 18 prevented negative opinions. But nowhere have I opined in a negative manner towards Thomason. So you tell me what my opinion was and then I’ll tell you what it is now.

However, we have come back from 3 down, so lets stop questioning their character

Me too.  Yet if going to a game and choosing between 3-3 and 0-0 I'd take the goals every time.  But I was feeling happier when it was 0-0 at Cheltenham with 5 to go than at the final whistle today.  Happy with a point but just desperate to see a semblance of organisation and playing as a team for most of the 95 minutes.

So much wrong but fair play to come back. If Thomason had popped the 4th in I think my head would of popped off.

we need new wingbacks or a change of system.

Doyle needs to be utilised and Sarcevic playing further up. Gems in this division.

Will be an interesting Jan window seeing if Evatt is stubborn or he’s trying to work with the best of a bad bunch.

Lets not play that stupid fucking game

For every change that works, therell be more that fail

Game?? What getting rid of poorly performing managers? Last time we did it swiftly was Sammy Lee!!

So on balance I would suggest having blind faith in shite managers hasn't been a roaring success in the last ten+ years.

Anyway we will only have a few months to see if Salford or Auntie Sharon got it right??

I've taken that route before- its certainly better for the ticker!  :)

Decided to follow on here and the bn feed, so can only get the sense from what people are seeing.

The second and third were so close together it wasn't easy to descern if the celebrations were from one or two goals, so didn't initially know we'd equalised.

The life of a bwfc fan.

The lad might improve as he has age on his side.

Perfect for our reserves I would say 🙄

He wasnt even ripping up any tree’s for Longridge last season in the NWC

He was 17 last year he may have grown 3 or 4 inches since then and put on a stone of muscle.

He obviously is still developing, but the lad can play football.

He may make it, may not but slaughtering him on a football forum when he has been one of our better players since coming into the team dont help

Joking aside, he did go on one run down the left

At least it might make you think it might be worth not completely disregarding our left side

Thomason has been decent so far & has some ability which I think has surprised a few on here with non league knowledge, so some of them at least just parrot out that the boy is NWC or  whatever because they failed to spot any latent talent in the lad.

If we get a decent enforcer type in , Thomason’s game will improve because the lad is creative but not very good at defensive side. He is in the team & Crawford isn’t who has been distinctly average.Does this make Crawford ‘non league’ as well ?

He’s playing alright for us which is all I’m arsed about.

He was just 17 last season and he’s hardly the biggest or strongest, in that league you need to be physical, age and experience also helps.

Christmas Eve 2019 & I'm having a pint (or two) in the local with the Longridge chairman.

Who tells me that they have a young lad that is gonna sign for Bolton.

Says that he has someting about him and that he can see a pass, needs to fill out though.

Good summary in hindsight.

Both good responses and offer a rationale behind in game posting. And shows from my reaction how emotions run high even after the final whistle!

While I have given in on the odd occasion, in the main it’s not for me though, it takes away the enjoyment of the game.

Bloody hell you drink with everybody

Thomason was virtually the only player on the pitch who looked comfortable on the ball in the second half. Really grew in to the game. I reckon he should have had a penalty as well.
