Currently looking at menu for local curry house to order a takeaway later.

Thank fuck it’s over is all I can say, forcing yourself to be happy because it’s New Year’s Eve, utter bollocks, always happier when it’s gone.

Spent NYE in some amazing places but just a quiet night in for the 2 of us tonight. Wife’s on an early shift so probably an early night as well. Boilers fixed (for now) so at least it’s warm.

I’ve been to Dubai, Dublin and New York for NYE.
New York was incredible but you could hardly move wall to wall with people. Feels surreal looking back at it after this year

Hopefully they didn't cook it 2 days ago

Or leave it in your safe place 😬

2 cans of Guinness, box of Sauvignon Blanc and a huge pile of Indian starters to graze on during the evening

Will find summat on TV to watch

Never been big on NYE so don’t feel like I’m missing out on much. Brucie Bonus is everyone is being sensible so house will be empty apart from us

This year has been particularly painful after the death of the MiL. Every “occasion” - Mrs Manc’s 50th, what would have been the MiL’s birthday, the FiL’s birthday, stepdaughters birthday, Xmas - have ended up with a load of pissheads weeping and wailing about the MiL not being here. I know that I sound a bit of a cunt but I just couldn’t stand another night of it. The booze sets them off and it becomes unbearable

On that happy note this miserable get wishes all you bumders, deviants, criminals, racists and commies a Happy New Year 👍

Condolences Manc. Have a good in hopefully we’ll get to have a beer next year pal

I got engaged 21 years ago tonight, don't really feel like marking the occasion

Curry, jd, radio x

👍 Aye. Best wishes to you, your good lady and your lad and thanks from both of us for what you’ve done this year for my mum

Going to pop up and see her in the morning, wish her happy new year etc. Got some daffs in pots, so will stick a few in.

It’s been wank this year

Lost my mum and nephew (brother in all but name) and the rest has been the same as everyone else.

Hoping for a 2021 that starts slow and ends with a fucking Big Bang.

All the best, queers.

Yep. Sydney is great apart from the crowds but Prague used to be absolute madness but brilliant. Toned it down now with the ban on fireworks.

Condolences to everyone on here that have lost people hopefully 🙏 a better 21 for everyone including the whites  🍻

Take away pizza with the family and few san miguel gold tops at 6.2% after a full day on the graft.

Freezing cold outside, fire on with a mad as box of frogs 9 week old labrador lay flat out in front, preparing for his next bout of activity.

Things aren't so bad afterall 👌

Same plan as always in the Spencer house. Watch telly perhaps stick Jules on just before midnight for the bongs then back to whatever we were watching.

The general public are cunts at the best of times throw in non boozers out drinking and forced jollity and it's my idea of hell.

Not been out for new years since the 2 Tubs insisted on shoes for entry. Tell a lie a few years back Frank Turner did a NYE gig at Gorrila my mate got turfed out for throwing Haribo around just after midnight. The dickhead roped us into his bullshit and 3 of us got chucked out with him. Made him buy my kebab to say sorry

Never really enjoyed NYE in the pub.

Rammed, and a bit false with folk being dressed smart.

Is that still a thing, or has it died off now?

I think it’s the people that have died off.

Oi, I’m not some sort of performing monkey 😁

We were in a harbourside hotel 10 years ago tonight; brilliant!

Then sailing in the harbour the next day.

Did New York for NYE on millennium. Wandered down to Time Square at 11am and had to stay there it was already being cordoned off.  Made it to 2am on a single snickers bar. Great day though!

Remember people on the pavements around the harbour at 9am sat on blankets reserving their spot for the midnight fireworks.

What a difference a year makes... last year was an impromptu house party with a load of neighbours and waking up half remembering volunteering to be a Church Warden (?).

A few years previous Brother & Bones played an acoustic set in our big room for free during the Christmas/New Year holiday.

This year I think the missus and me will end up by the river at the bottom of the garden getting pissed... it's a habit of ours

Never been one for going out on NYE. Tended to save myself for the Edinburgh derby on the 1st/2nd. Not that that’s an option this year for more reasons than one.

Shall be partaking in our NYE tradition of the Inbetweeners Movie and probably in bed for just after 12.

Just finished a carbonara and making a start on a paedophile’s bounty of wine gums, jelly snakes, strawbs and Haribo. Need to finish off the cheese & crackers and then a Belgian bun later on.

Just had a Pedigree and now on a bottle of Leffe. Got some Staropramen to finish off and then about two-thirds of a bottle of vodka.

Living like a monk from tomorrow. We’d better fucking win on Saturday.

I’m not, I could do with a tonne bag next time you’re this way mate

Best NYE was 93 and 94 when 16/17 in horwich with some underage pub drinking

Also, Fat Boy Slim on Bondi Beach in 05/06

He came on at midnight, countdown then started with Born Slippy

Think it was the last time I had a pill

Was proper monged, ringing mates who were at Utd Bolton on NYE (lost 4-1) and just kept saying "I'm in the future, I'm in next year"

Tonight I'm drinking DIPA and eating charcuterie meat and cheese

Never really liked NYE even in my heavy club days at uni

Remember spending one where 3 of the 5 of us stayed at home whilst the 2 lads and a lot of others went out.

3 of us had ket and spent the evening wandering about the house in our separate holes until the others returned home.

Spent another one at a massive house party in Withington where the 3 of us where known as "acid dudes".

Top.

I've watched cruising with Jane Mcdonald tonight! 🤣 🤣 🤣
