No troops. Not least because it would probably kill off whatever popularity remains for Johnson (and Biden). That would put us directly in conflict with Russia and even though we already are in all but name, the prospect of escalation from the point where British/US soldiers are actually doing battle with Russias to what that could lead to are too extreme for anyone to comprehend on both sides.

I couldn't really say what the outcome would be in terms of Russia in Ukraine but there would be massive losses on both sides and it wouldn't be pretty. I think Russia is looking at some sort of "limited" war that takes a big chunk of Ukrainian territory and leaves the rest to be free, but in no doubts that its Russias bitch and a physical buffer between them and NATO.

Cheers pal

Wish I had shares in mbda.

Dropped a little in value today, but if we end up supplying more stuff to Ukraine, then who knows.

I wish I had loads of MDMA, it used to be a proper fanny magnet back then - the sluts would pay in kind for a pill or wrap - my garb made me look like a petty gangster so girls would often come and unashamedly ask for free drugs, not off me, someone else.

If Ukraine ever became our enemy, its those weapons we would be facing.

Isn’t that what happened when Taliban were fighting Russia? The west provided armaments which later would get used against the west.

It is, and the amount of western supplied weaponry that has fallen into the hands of terrorist groups in Afghan over the last few years is scary.

We've pumped all sorts of weapons and training into whoever we consider our allies in Iraq, Syria, Libya etc in recent years too and I suppose its considered critical for what we want at the time, but it surely couldn't be considered a shock if we find it all fielded against us at some point in future.

The global war machine continues to tick over!

Always makes me wonder why the stuff we provide doesn’t have a remotely operated self-destruct system.

I'm sure I read something along those lines about some piece of equipment America sold once but can't remember what it was. Can only really talk from aircraft point of view as that's where my interest lies, but if we or the US sells a batch of planes to somewhere abroad they're usually export versions stripped of their most sensitive technology.

Just makes me laugh sometimes, we spent majority of the 90s spending hundreds of millions destroying Iraqs air force and now they own a whole batch of lovely F-16s flown by pilots trained by those who were trying to kill them not too many years earlier!

Interesting article. Not the piece of piss for the Russians you might think.

Good read that. Seems like they’re a bit more prepped

Probably a bit like Normandy in WW2

Sheer weight of materiel against an embedded force, the Reich were very good at rear guard actions especially with their Hitler Youth

Up against 120,000 full time soldiers

Shock & Awe beckons

Rearguard actions and resistance should be their tactic

There’s a vid of a Ukrainian granny wielding a machine gun, being trained by a guy with SS related insignia on his uniform.

More than likely Russian propaganda. They are experts.

As I said, they are experts. They've got you and Peter Hitchens talking about a granny, and thinking the BBC are Nazi's.

I do not agree with your assumption about me.
