There's no point trying to engage. We just get whataboutery and questions that aren't answerable.

OK halfwit. Doubly well done.

Bit sad that folks have got worked up about the accuracy of a meme. At least I think everyone is agreed that Trump appointing a fruitcake such as RFK to head up Health in the US wasn’t his finest moment.

With all the research and regulatory oversight groups he’s defunded, plus his controversial approach of trying to find data to back his weird claims rather than drawing objective conclusions on unbiased data, I think we can safely say he won’t be making America healthy again any time soon.  As the leading light in medical research this is also not great news for the rest of the world either.

Right, can we get back to arguing on other things Trump has or hasn’t done. There’s always plenty of material…..

Immigration?

(Un) democrats.

This, class, is a mirthless little way of saying the democrats aren’t democratic.

For example - that was funny, NOT. Titter.

He’s got a point. You can’t argue with that. (Well you can if you’re happy with  a country being flooded with life destroying drugs)

Can't argue with this hard line approach in general.

He's very much a blunt instrument though, and some of his policies are bizarre and concerning.

This should make things interesting in the US.  NYC has elected Zohran Mamdani, a muslim (democrat) mayor for the first ever time. Is the US ready for this? Was an unknown a year ago. Seems a decent, well-intentioned guy based on interviews I’ve seen, promising to address the wealth gap. Trumpy is going after him already, calling him a communist and threatening to withhold federal funding for the city.

Well he's certainly come a long way in a short space of time. I suppose this is the reaction of a melting pot like NYC to the Trump administration. An equal and opposite reaction as Bolty would bleat.

Bolty was right about reactions.

Trump's followers reactions are a thing of beauty - blaming the new mayor for 9/11.

Lolll

Big Arsenal fan. Was interviewed on Guardian Football Weekly podcast a few weeks back (he asked to be on!)

Imagine threatening to withdraw funding for vital services because you don’t like a democratic election outcome

Imagine the outrage if Starmer said Reform councils couldn’t have money if they won a local election, because he didn’t like them….

What an anti democracy childish turd he is

And folk on here support it…

I'd like to think the political opposition here would put up a better resistance then the Dems are doing over there.

Mamdani is a reaction to both Trump and the Democrats limp wristed response

Seems to me he annoys all the right people, which is good enough.

Him and Sliwa (the republican candidate) making Cuomo look like a dick at the debates was hilarious viewings.

Eh? Mamdani stood for the Democrats because he won the Democrat Primary, voted for by Democrats....

He came out of nowhere during the primaries leaving the democrats prime candidates of Eric Adams to step out of the race and Andrew Cuomo having to stand as an independent.
