All the labels and recriminations aren’t going to help anyone. Hamas are terrorists. But Palestinian children aren’t Hamas. Israel, a state, are wilfully killing Palestinians and were before October 7th. It’s a massive mess and has been since Jewish settlement started.

What needs to happen is that the killing stops and a proper long term plan is worked through. Fact is that Israel exists. It’s behaved atrociously at times but it has a right to exist and to defend itself. At the same time it doesn’t have a right to kill innocent civilians in the pretence of its own defence.

I don’t think labelling either side will help. Palestine needs to be recognised as its own sovereign state with borders that it is allowed to defend. Terrorist organisations need to be rooted out. And Israel needs to stop killing civilians and stop forcibly stealing land.

All that is possible but probably not whilst people think that murdering children is ok because some terrorists did something bad, nor I think whilst people are labelling Israel as genocidal or fascist or whatever.

If folk looked at all the atrocities over the years, just between Israel and Islam, and posted condemnations each time, then they'd have no fingers left.

What they should do is stop all the scrapping and focus all that hate and energy into a couple of football teams.

Picking at random, let’s call them Jerusalem  Bhoys FC and Jerusalem Bears FC.

they can play each other 18 times a season, get some other teams full of goat herders and shopkeepers to make up the numbers, and away they go.

Lads from all over the place can go and watch, even though they’ve never actually lived there but picked sides based on something utterly nonsensical.

They can say they’re going “for the quality of the football” when in reality it’s a thinly disguised chance to call Muslims/Jews a load of cunts from the safety of a football terrace.

Not sure if there’s any precedent for it, and we don’t have politics in British football so it can’t be anything we see here, but I reckon I’m onto something here.

Indeed, and if they'd not historically been propped up by the West, then they'd have been obliterated a long time ago. Even back in 1948, they must have known the problems that would occur.  Sadly, they'll be at war forever, there is no chance of any sort of peace whilst one side constantly takes land, and the other side constantly commits acts of terrorism. The fact that both sides have extremes who openly admit to wanting the other side exterminated also doesn't help. 

I'd rather we weren't involved, and just left them to it, but we're too far entrenched to walk away. Which means, to assume extent, we bring an element of that trouble to our own door.

probably because most people aren't defending them, condemenation more often than not goes without saying

and most of them tend to be terrorist or tryanical regimes, of which Israel isn't suposed to be, but still act like one

Hamas are cunts and I've yet to see a single person on here defend them or justify what they've done. 

Israel are probably getting more 'condemnation' because there's folk on here defending their actions.

Indeed - I absolutely detest the political side taking here over it. Like idiots singing we support Hamas and people who think it’s fine to blow up innocent kids because Hamas did a horrendous thing - they are all as bad as each other. I sort of like you would rather we left it alone. 
 

Ideally id like us to take a global role in resolving it and establishing a Palestinian state but that feels a long way off though I do think it’s possible. And I do think potentially the war now has made it more rather than less possible.

Stuff that you don’t like even when it’s irrefutable = screeching. One sided propaganda that ignores a wealth of evidence = coherent and rational.

Thats the problem right there. Both sides do it but denying Israel’s appalling behaviour since October and indeed before it, can’t just be pretended out of existence. 
 

The people who are wronged are the Palestinians. Because they aren’t Hamas nor Israel.
