Oh ey up.

You're off.

Captain know it all now!

I certainly can't be arsed going into the minutiae of every detail of the middle East peoples before posting, but by the same token if you can't understand a general observation of folk in that area, and thus chose to refer to it as me saying they're all camel jockeys, then you aren’t as bright as you think you are.

Like it or not, these folk have been at loggerheads with each other for donkeys years, just as they have with the Jews.

Have a read about sunni and Shia etc. I did ages back, but my eyelids got heavy- it became apparent they're all as crazy as each other, over what is basically a load of bollocks; religion.

Not that it's necessary for explanation, but a member of my family spent many years working out in the area, and is extremely familiar with the people and its customs.

I've been told many tales.

So perhaps I'm far more clued up than you like to believe.

And for what it's worth, he is fully behind Israel's stance.

I know nothing 😁

Sorry to offend but in my defence I am from Tonge Moor and raised in the 1960s when times were more direct and maybe brutal.

In my career I have dealt with Jews, Iranians, Iraqis, Libyans, Saudis and Egyptians (and more).

i have found the Jews the most discriminatory as I am obviously a gentile. The rest (my "arabs") have been the most friendly but go around and around the subject like they are sat in a circle in smoking a pipe in a desert tent and in the end if you get impatient with them you will fold. Egyptians are the out and out liars... they will just tell a bare faced lie to you to get their way.

I can only try to make sense of the shit show from my experience.

You’re not offending anyone.

It’s good to speak from experience, often it’s all we can do. But it will still be full of stereotypes. I’ve not really found one ‘race’ of people to be more untrustworthy. But maybe that’s just my experience.

As a self confessed cynic I have often mused about how and why October 7th happened especially as the Israelis have a huge intelligence network capability, maybe it was allowed as a vehicle to mobilise invasion of Gaza and beyond but the death toll was higher than expected.

Well apparently they were warned but chose to ignore the intelligence

My mate works in Saudi and has worked in the middle east since 2005. Says pretty much the same especially with the Egyptians.

The Kurds and Iraqis will do anything for you. Never ever trust the Egyptians.

Different races, different cultures produce different mindsets, some good some bad.

Same way you know not to fuck about in Croatia or no fucker wants to work in Greece.

Generalisations all over the gaff but they all come from somewhere.

You can narrow that down to cities.

I deal with a few of the Jewish lads down in Prestwich.

My real life initials are SS.

I was with them a while back and signed a document using my initials as I often do for internal stuff. Handed the paperwork over and was met with some wide eyed stares.

I thought they were going to cut my head off, the way they looked at me.

was a very awkward exit.

Just watched We Will Dance Again. Imagine being off your nut, tripping your back out and then that (Oct 7th) happens. The guys throwing grenades back and forth with Hamas must have felt like they were in some mad dream.

Surely we can all agree the elimation of the Hamas leader and various other terror cells is a good thing no?

Sooner the extreme side of Islam is wiped off the face of the planet the better.

Agree but It'll never end ... Catch 22

Yes

It would be even better if having killed the leader Israel might consider that a key objective achieved and start to wind things up, but it's not

And it would even better if it meant Hamas would now crumble, but it's not

It looks like it's made cock all difference so far

Don't you believe it.

They'll put on the usual bullshit performance just as when they bombed their own hospital or exaggerate casualty numbers but cutting the head of a snake is always fatal.

There'll be replacements named. They will take years to reach this vicious cunts level of depravity and they'll be hiding in tunnels for most of their sorry existence wondering when the end might come and endlessly washing their undercrackers.

Israeli security forces have “deliberately killed, detained and tortured medical personnel”, the report said, while children have “borne the brunt” of “the collapse of the health system".

The commission cites the case of five-year-old Hind Rajab, whose car was hit as she and her family tried to flee bombing. Several family members were killed, but Hind managed to phone the Palestinian Red Crescent for help. The ambulance trying to reach her was also shelled, and Hind, her family, and the ambulance crew all died.

The commission says the attacks on the healthcare system have “inflicted conditions of life resulting in the destruction of generations of Palestinian children and, potentially, the Palestinian people as a group”.

The report alleges Palestinian armed groups, including Hamas, have subjected Israeli hostages to "physical violence, abuse, sexual violence, forced isolation, limited access to hygiene facilities, water and food, threats and humiliation".

It calls for the immediate and unconditional release of the remaining hostages.

The report also expresses concern about the treatment of thousands of Palestinian detainees, some of them children.

Israeli security forces have subjected them to systematic abuse, including torture, rape and other forms of sexual violence, the reports alleges.

It directly names Israel’s national security minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, saying the abuse took place “under direct orders” from him.

You'd hope those tunnels will all be destroyed before they leave.

I notice the Americans used deep bunker busting bombs, dropped from B2s, to destroy Houti installations.

One or two of them should remove the tunnels for a while.

Yes, early in the piece it was suggested that they would be flooded with sea water. I think I like your suggestion better.

Who to believe 🤷🏻

The Hamas-run government media office said the bombing hit "crowded" residential areas, and that 73 people had been killed - a number also reported by Gaza's civil defence agency. The BBC cannot independently verify the figures.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) told the BBC it had struck a "Hamas terror target" and was "doing everything possible to avoid causing harm to civilians".

It said the casualties given by the Hamas office were "exaggerated" and said such sources had "proven to be sorely unreliable in previous incidents."
