Two years ago we were on our uppers and easy prey for our many local petty detractors. Things are different now and its time to show that Bolton are back. Clearly these tinpot wankers have spent big a

Officially, cup games aren't on

I know barnsley was. But was that not a betting stream?

Just a guess

Just a guess

It was on ESPN+ last round, so don't think thats a betting stream

Audio pass only on official site for £2.50

Sometimes with Bolton managers of the past I've had the impression they don't really understand what derby matches mean. To be fair to Phil Parkinson he completely understood the Bury fixture in a way no other previous Bolton boss did - and we won our first league game at Gigg Lane for years in our last ever appearance there.

Having played at Blackpool for years Evatt gets the nature of Lancashire football rivalry - and such is the link between club and fans just now that we all understand and won't forget that Wigan completely lacked class when we were in Ken Anderson inspired trouble.

A lot tomorrow will depend on the teams picked for a cup-tie and on how two elevens that differ from League 1 selections bed down (I hope we pick Lee and Kacha). If we come off second best I don't think it'll be for the want of an understanding of why derbies matter to the fans. That will stand us right for when we play these tinpot cunts in the league.

Pay £2.50 to listen to a wireless? It’s the featured game on BBC Manchester. Unfortunately local radio only, not online.

Few fakes and 1 or 2 have been scammed for tickets tomorrow

Me.  Youre going with Matt??

Yeah I know......

Me.  He's 11!!!!

Fuck me 🙄

Cannot wait for these fuckers to feel our passion tomorrow. Horrible little club.

grew up watching Bolton late 80s/early90s  when our away followings were incredible. Feels like those times are back. I think both sets of players, both sets of management teams and their fans, will be in total awe of the noise and passion of the Bolton faithful tomorrow. Come on you white men! We’ve got our club back boys, let’s show these fuckers what proper support is!!!

Well put paulhanley. Good assessment. Armfield, yes. Greaves, maybe. BSA, yes. Parkinson partly. Coyle, should have done having played for us but didn’t. Lennon, fuck me, obvs no derby mattered other than Glasgow. My opinion

And to think we were singing “we’ll never play you again” that day. Can’t get rid of the fuckers now. Went in work early on the Monday and changed everyone’s desktop wallpaper to a picture of the scoreboard at the end of the game.

Coyle played a stinker v Wigan when he dropped Muamba for 4-4-2

As for Lennon, he gave us a belting 3-1 win on a Friday night, as well as Zach Clough's debut in the cup which was mint

That could be total coincidence though

Most fans can't agree on who our biggest rivals are so doubt managers can do much more than they'd have done otherwise

Quality.

We'll never play you again never ends well.

I remember Allardyce naming a rank bad starting eleven for a match at home to Bury in the early rounds of either the FA or League Cup.

Dean Holdsworth's brother started at centre-back in what was I think his only appearance for us and we got beat 1-0.

We got beat by Tranmere too in a replay when he rested most the first team and they'd been a big a rival as any other the years

I'm sure they'll be up for it, as we're on an upward trajectory, nowt to do with understanding a Lancashire derby

As demonstrated by our last visit to Wigan

Best place to park this evening ? @Leyther_Mattim guessing you will possibly be the best person on this?

Away fans car park is on Stadium Way (WN5 0UN). Not sure of the price but expect £5-£7 as par for the course.

Usually plenty of parking in the estate around Montrose Avenue though and that will give you a clear run to the M6 at Orrell if you’re heading back north.

If you’re going back to Bolton/Bury you could park on Woodhouse Lane near Springfield Park and that gives you a fairly clear run up through to Whelley and Aspull all the way through to the UniBolt junction on M61. Only drawback would be you’d have to fuck about getting over the canal bridge post-match.
