We should just use our reservoirs up Rivvy instead of letting the fucking scousers have it.

They like to bleat on about being self sufficient, so nows their chance.

Get your own water, you mirthless cunts.

When it was North West Water the rezzies were regularly dredged and the gullies up on the tops regularly cleared, meaning more capacity in said rezzies and more supply via the run off water. Years of UU stewardship has put paid to that. But hey, that's progress

When they've mentioned heavy but brief rainfall being worse than prolonged gentle stuff, I've not quite got my head round it.

Looking at the ones round here, they're often surrounded by hills, so you'd expect surface run off to get into them as readily as seepage.

Drainage in upland areas is being stopped up anyway for peat conservation/re wetting for carbon capture and flood mitigation.

Mrs got it and sent it on this morning just as it sounded like my bedroom window was sailing the North Sea.

Went round anglezarke last week too. They're 'low' by being about 5% down normal levels for this time of year.

We're due rain for about the next 6 months none stop.

Cue... Daily mail 'water shortage... Stock up now....' people filling their bath just in case!
