Share issues; works out as almost exactly £10M. A nice round figure, don't you think?

I ignored this when I saw it earlier.

biggest question is probably if it’s $ or Franc…. May give a view on the future.

Interesting (in a stuffy kind of way) that everything is converted to A shares. Wait on the rest but assuming that means no premium on return.

if anyone cba watching it like myself, summary below

In this video, Bolton Wanderers FC Chairman Sharon Brittan reflects on the club's successful journey since 2019, culminating in their recent return to the Championship after a magical day at Wembley (0:10 - 1:30).

Key takeaways from the discussion include:

  • The Power of Community: Sharon emphasizes that the fans are the "fabric" of the club. She highlights the importance of authentic, trusted communication with supporters, which has been the bedrock of the club's rebuilding process (1:45 - 4:45).

  • Sustainable Growth: Moving away from a single-funder model, the club has adopted a broader investor base to ensure long-term stability and sustainability, a strategy she believes has been validated by their recent success (10:20 - 11:20).

  • Strategic Partnerships: The club has brought on new minority shareholders—Francesca, Tim, and Keegan—not just for investment, but to add strategic value and enhance the overall fan experience (11:35 - 13:05).

  • Looking Ahead: Despite the increased pressure and "eye-watering" financial demands of the Championship, Sharon expresses confidence in the club's operational efficiency and the collective effort of the staff and supporters to continue their "epic journey" (14:10 - 17:05).

  • Community Impact: Sharon shares a touching personal story about spreading a lifelong fan's ashes on the pitch, underscoring how deeply connected the club is to the lives and hearts of its town's people (17:35 - 18:25).

And there are people of Facebook who want her to step aside because we have not spent a load of money on a centre forward.

Never forget how close we were to liquidation. Unimaginable after 150 years you’d think, but Bury FC made it very, very real.

Here we are with our beloved club intact though, back in the Championship.

So much to be grateful for.

Also think the likes of Derby made it very real

They were in the championship at the time as well

Not just league one or two

Wonder what Sluffy thinks about it 🤔

I'll let you know when it is finally processed at Companies House.

I suspect it all ties in someway with this that I had previously mentioned a few days ago.

Remember a few weeks back when I said Companies House had received TWO notifications apparently for the same thing and I wondered if there might have been a duplication - well there wasn't.

What seems to have happened is that both the C Shares that Sharon, James, BMLL Ltd and the Luckock brothers and those of EEP Ltd have been converted to normal A Shares as per the notification to Companies House on the 7th August but which actually took place on the 22nd July (the same day EEP purchased their shares.

Fwiw there seems to have been an addition error by someone filing the forms to CH in that the form for Sharon et al dated 1st August shows 3,156,094 C Shares issued and the form for EEP dated the 22nd July shows 3,156,094 which totals 9,088,253 but had been stated on the 22nd July as the aggregated total of C Shares as 9,089,043

I love her ! She can do no wrong and should have a statue .

Absolutely brilliant interview, she really does get us. Sharon looked quite emotional at times. And still buzzing from Wembley.

I made a comment on how busy it was, he told me 5 years ago, we struggled to sell 8000 kits, we're now over 30,000 sales a season

That's tremendous. Presumably we are making at least £20 profit on each one, So that soon adds up.

I must admit I'm a little bit confused about the latest filings at companies house in respect of the Shares. particularly the Statement of Capital total but I think I follow what has happened

If we take as a start point the Statement of Capital filed on the 3rdAugust for the position at the 22nd July the document clearly states there are 12,013,491 A Shares and 9,089,403 both at a nominal value of £1 each giving a total capital of £21,102.534.

On the 13th August an allotment of A Shares were issued of 10,906,850 at £1 each to convert the C Shares to A Shares - but why issue more shares, simply deduct the number of C shares to zero then add the same number to the A Shares and arrive at the same amount, £21,102,534.

The form on the 13th August states that these are 'bonus Shares' so I assume the nominal value of A Shares now issued is the shown £32,009,384 to be correct but no money has been paid for these shares?

Ok, I follow that logic if I understand things correctly.

The most recent allotment of shares filed 13th August for the allotment done on the 22nd July as well, was for 6,401,877 at £1.56 each for a new investment in of £10m with the Statement of Capital being £6,401,877 more at £38,411,261.

If I've understood things correctly it does raise a question of how £6m invested from EEP and a further £10m by presumably FV is possible if I've understood SCR to limit any ownership share investment to a maximum of £15m in one season?

Maybe the EEP £6m was received last financial year and treated as such even though shares were issued in this financial year?

Or maybe my understanding of how SCR is applied is incorrect?

@Sluffy football clubs generally lose money. FV tend to drip money in via directors loans and convert to shares later. So the cash was likely there and their 'investment' is just moving from one balance sheet line to another. It will likely only become clear once the accounts are published.

Clearly you enjoy trying to work it out, personally I start from the position that FV know what they are doing and it'll be reet.

Think someone alluded to it before but a set of a accounts don't reflect fuck all in the grand scheme of things.

I'm saying this as I'm filling my £12,749 earnings for 2024 )

All the family days and community events are working out.

I've bought 5 shirts this season, Wife, Daughter, Son and 2 x little sisters. Have to wait to buy my own!

Little sisters came on a £10 ticket match and were hooked !

However with the price rises in the stadium, I can see that suffering a tad, are they run by an external company? There was no queue for pasties then realised they're charging £4 a pasty...

I do enjoy trying to work things out, it keeps my brain ticking over in my retirement.

I don't doubt what you say is correct but the fun for me is trying to understand what is going on, for instance the Statement of Capital has shot up from £21m as at 22nd July which was filed on the 3rd August to £38m on the SAME DAY (22nd July) on the filing of the 13th August - it virtually doubled - what is all that about I wondered, so I had a look.

I'm pretty sure (unless someone shoots me down) what has happened and it isn't that someone has just put in a further £17m.

I don't see any harm in me doing that at all but I do go the one step further and share it on here and sometimes be told I got it wrong and be explained as to why.

For all the shit I get and contrary to the perception of many I get things right far more often than I don't and I've yet to see anyone on this forum to be perfect in everything they've posted on here...

Even DLH had to be corrected by someone in regards to the C Shares...

Over a fiver for a hotdog is a bit silly.

Carrs wanted to put up supply prices by 40% which means the club would have had to do the same. No idea if this actually happened but I guess there has been a price rise.

Bizarrely there's a shop in Blackpool that's started selling them.

No cunts heard of them over here.

I would imagine the mark up is more than that .

Didnt the Real Madrid Chairman at the time say that the signing of David Beckham was covered by the increase is Shirts sales with his name on ?

I’ll get a trolley from Asda and cart them all over from the shop on Middlebrook if they want

Lad got asked outside the stadium if he preferred a Jacket Spud or a Pasty.. said pasty and got a free steak one. 3 Lads 2 wearing Preston shirts filming it.

Now here's controversial.

I think Carr's pasties are shite, with their ultra thin, ultra short party & small size. It's a shame Greenhalgh's never got the gig.

There. I've said it.
