Evatt quoted as saying that "come the 1st of Jan we should have everyone available".

As you say, an assumption there that nobody will get injured or incur a ban in the meantime

What ought not to be an excuse later in the season is 'managing the minutes' because of fatigue. Unless we happen to win tomorrow we'll only gave league football till May and at least half the squad will have had at least 6-8 games out at some point, some of them more.

CMG will be like a Jan signing, Lolos and Desmond have hardly figured. Dempsey and Toal will have missed a couple of months, Jones same. Sheehan also now a short time out

Let's win tomorrow then and give us more games 🤣

That's all true and you can throw in that none of the strikers ever play 90 minutes never mind start consecutive games (generally).  So no fatigue up front.

Where there will be fatigue potentially is that if fit, the following start virtually every game: Baxter, Santos, Johnston, Schon, JDC, Sheehan, Tomo.  Charles not far behind, the most likely starter of the strikers.

We've got 10 league games from 26th Dec to 1st Feb, 22% of the league season in just over 5 weeks!

If they continue to play every game, maybe they'll be justifiably nackered by February.

Fair point about how uneven the season is and how cluttered it is in parts. Of those very regular starters, Schon and JDC can be rested / challenged by Williams / Desmond, and Baxter can have a rest now and then as Southwood's capable. Santos, Johnston the most vulnerable really

Some of those players might not be here though we only have one squad place so any transfers in will have to be balanced out unless we look at de registering  players  .
If arfield does not start tomorrow there is no point him taking a squad place come Jan for a starter

I'm willing to bet none of those players listed will be sold in January.  Yes there will probably be outgoings, but there are plenty of fringe players in that category, as you say Arfield etc.  If IE rates them enough to rely on them every week he isn't selling them, IMO.

Any 6 figure offer for any player out of contract in May quite rightly will be accepted

We are not selling santos and baxter for 200k

we brought in Dempsey and Charles in the January Window when they had run there contracts down

They wont go for 100k each you are correct but if a offer came in for 500k each it will go to the board i imagine and out of Evatts hands

I said 6 figures, does not mean 100k but it would be less than 999k

Any 6 figure offer for any player out of contract in May quite rightly will be accepted  -   do you actually remember typing this 13 minutes prior to your latest post ?

Yes i did funnily enough, but let us not spin what i said......Baxter and Santos cannot talk to anyone until 1st of January

Let us not pretend talks have not already taken place.

Fees were spouted at £175k for Dempsey and £300k for Charles so we didn’t exactly take advantage of their contract situations.

6 figures means there is 6 place values, ie 100,000-999,999

Nobody is spinning anything.

You’re either changing your mind. Or you didn’t understand what 6 figures meant. Or you meant to say 7 🤣

Dempsey was Captain of Gillingham at the time and Charles was a 20 goal a season the year before for a bad Accrington team.

We got both for a decent price

Happy clappers are just spinning what i was saying with the six figure fee mentioned but Evatt has already said one or two mainstay players may leave.

IMO nobody will be sold.  There won't be a bid big enough, when they can be picked up for nothing in the summer.  And IE isn't letting Santos or Baxter go for £100k/£150K, that could be the difference between play offs and 7th, its not worth it.

999.999 is six figures........it is easy to go to extremes

The word ANY was the key word, though.

ANY player out of contract next summer will be sold for a six figure fee this January if the right offer comes along.
