You might be right, but that's very different to your original statement of... Any 6 figure offer for any player out of contract in May quite rightly will be accepted Quote

Stig Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 I have to say, we don't learn on injuries. If this was a one off with Sheehan you could ignore it but there's a trend of us playing players with knocks until they break down. Very frustrating. When's this root and branch review of injuries due...? Quote
Casino Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 How many players do you think play without minor injuries? Id say its not so many Fwiw, i do think its naive to announce it Quote

Would like to think the good work being done at the club would be built on things like sports science. players always want to play but surely they would know their bodies enough not to carry on when it’s putting them at risk. Hopefully it gets sorted as it is clearly something that we struggle with Quote

desperado Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 The EFL’s yellow card amnesty kicks in on the 19th game of the season, meaning Ricardo Santos, George Johnston, Jay Matete and Aaron Collins must avoid a booking in their next game to be in the clear. Wanderers go to Adams Park on Friday, December 20, for what will be their 19th game of the League One campaign. One positive about Bristol postponement, means they are all available for Wigan, would be nice if they are available for Wycombe too. Quote

The club boosted their backroom this week with the appointment of a new head of sports science, Paul Walsh, who has previously worked with Stoke City, Sunderland and Northern Ireland. Sharon (Brittan) and the board are amazing at it – they trust that we can get on with our jobsin our area of expertise. Likewise, I am not a sports scientist, so I will listen to them and take on that information. “Of course, it is then my decision, but it is an informed one, and the information I get from those guys is fantastic“ Quote
