  • I just want my lad to witness a promotion. Don't really care what happens or who plays for us after that. I definitely will in the future, but the absolute focus has to be to get out of this mind-numb

  • I disagree. His BWFC years were some of his greatest and happiest of his career. His latest SSN documentary piece highlighted this, as does countless footage of his wonder, his PFA nominatio

Losing Dalby now is terrible timing. He'll have no pre-season and even if fit by mid August it means he won't be up to speed till mid Sept (8 to 10 games into the season).

Another striker needed asap as we can't have McAtee up top again

No pre season he will have to get fit once is hamstring is ok  then match fit with B team games I would of thought your probably right mid sept  now

Can we not get Rudy to help get him back fit ?

Dalbys first ever ham string injury too

Oh well

McAtee up top it is

Just listened to the SS interview and he doesn’t say a time length and didnt looked pissed  off just says (  forester is a recurring hamstring injury tendon and dalby is a hamstring STRAIN probably caused by a bit of fatigue the is first one of is career ) hopefully not as bad as the Bolton news article is saying mid august . If it’s a strain obviously they don’t won’t him running is bollocks off in Spain in 30 degree heat doesn’t sound like he as torn it

Hopefully not.  But its a timely reminder that injuries happen (to us) and however strong our keeper, full backs, CBs, midfielders and wingers are, if we don't have 2 decent fit strikers for 90% of league games, we aren't going to get far.  We know we'll have plenty cover in other positions even if eg Tomo has to play LB, but we can't function without strikers and if we don't start the season with another two we've only ourselves to blame when we're down to 1 fit striker.

He does say Charlie warren as been a been a surprise package up to now and everyone as been impressed so hopefully he can do something he will get a chance like all of them in these friendlies
But yes we’re light on strikers overall

Some players never miss games through injury. Fernandes, Griezman, and possibly Ronaldo for example. I think Saka has missed one. Is there a relationship between quality and injury avoidance?

Stu Holden, Andy Walker, Ricardo Gardner and  Jussi Jaaskelainen just called me and told me to tell you are talking a big load of steaming shite.

The new Jamie Vardy will step up

& Dalby will be grand by the end of August

Keep the faith

You'll be hungover this morning.

Well, I have previously wondered if it was something to do with our coaching techniques but it’s different coaches &, presumably different training, yet still we get these.

Absolutely sick and tired of it. Two hamstring injuries and not a ball kicked in earnest. If it is going to be like this again all season we massively have our work cut out. Avoiding injuries counts for a lot and for whatever reason we just do not seem able to have any kind of run of luck with them.

First hammy of Dalby's career!

Bad luck or something not quite right in the fitness regime?

Been going on with successive managers, who I presume had different conditioning gurus.

It isn't unusual for players anywhere to pick up little injuries pre season, but these are obviously a bit more than little.

Forrester's is a flare up of the one that curtailed his season.

They've had months to sort it, and you would imagine they wouldn't have given the go ahead for him to start full training if they didn't feel he was right?

Maybe he is simply prone to them, or maybe they're not getting things right.

Or both!

Saka was out for three months!

Goal keeping coach is "off 'is 'ead".

Love it.

SS still retains that "common touch", whilst seemingly can separate himself and make tough decisions over his players.

"Rioch didn't have the lads touching a ball until September".

Well, Super John, it didn't do that team any harm!

Despite the season kicking off in August.

Nice.

Aye.

Made me chuckle.

Seems Rioch really was the pioneer of having them running about the countryside.

... & weighing them on their return from off season, fines &, for Sumo, contract terminated if too far overweight.
